diamonds are carbon true. But how common is really really really really really really really really really really really really really really (and yes that was all typed out, not copy pasted) compressed carbon...

so...diamond wins out, besides it's pretty. Gold is just wack. Yellow and heavy as a brick. Who wants that?

i wouldn't cause then i could replace the purple minivan i drive with something sweet! you don't know pain till you drive an ancient purple minivan everywhere as a teenage guy...

you can make diamonds in the lab for pretty cheap.

Gold is more liquid. It has all the aspect that money needs, such as divisibility , endurance, and acceptance


Gold is far better as a store of value aka money, diamonds... are decent stores of value, but are harder to liquidate and aren't traded as much

and yes, diamonds have decent store of value. But you're wrong in the liquidation and trading aspects of diamonds

say if someone bought a wedding ring for you, most likely that diamond was used on a different ring sometime and someplace else lol. Diamonds are reused all the time. Simply because it isn't cheap to get a real diamond of good quality.

and yes, i admit, divisibility is a problem.

white gold is nice as well however it isn't as nice looking as diamond or gold but it's worth more than gold
