Indeed, it's an excuse to not play the game. If you only want to see numbers climb, you could do that yourself at home with a hand-held calculator. Just keep hitting the + key.
I though NAP meant Non-Aggression Pact? Meh, I guess either acronym works just as well.

i would disagree...
PPT means your 100% safe from ALL forms of attack by anyone, so long as you have MT'S.
NAP is a gentleman's agreement between 2 parties, that doesn't mean your safe from any attack by anyone else or 1 party deciding its in their best interest to tear up the nap and attack the other without ANY warning...
so my question to barbs is again...eh, how do you work that out??

really dont mind how people play their own game....everyone is an individual and its up to them how they act
however with the huge numbers in top allainces and growing all the time....NAP'ed with all the other large alliances it moves further away from my 1st statement
i was very new to the game when i joined Crystal Force....and found because of their huge power and number base i was really only ever getting hit by that nasty Omega and friends

but not once just because i was behind a cloak of seeming invincibility did i once my stats had got good think ill just go around massing people without impunity
i think the vast majority of people in this game are good peeps but it seems with the growth of these huge NAP's it unfortunately gives license for some individuals to throw their weight around
in the end all the NAP's disappeared (insert war here) and were reformed to some extent a little later so i guess if history repeats itself the same will happen again

Nimras wrote:Right the author already said it 3 times this is not about any alliance the alliance in question was a examble would you guys keep on the topic.
Which is about the use of this is a WAR game look at the title yet we have NAPs and so on.
Now keep on topic and take TJP and FUALL else where please.
Nimras
he mentioned them both how is it not?

Raven wrote:If you had a clue what a war between JP and Fuall would mean you probably wouldnt come up with a post like this......people always think it will get better......If they go to war this whole game will change.....for everyone
Your right Raven
It wont get better... people thought with the COP/CIA war things would calm down and the larger alliances wouldn't be as they were... the thing the last war caused was the ability for lots of smaller alliances to grow very quickly...
what it caused was a boom in growth due to tonnes of naq being freely available...
with such a war to happen now with even more larger alliances the growth boom will become far bigger yet again... and then more larger/powerful alliances making things harder for the littler/newer alliances
The point of the NAPs in place right now in my mind are to hold off on such a thing occuring again... but the smaller naps are always insignificant... the naps between larger alliances are always the ones that will dictate the prices of everything in game and on the markets... NAPs are a key aspect of the game in keeping some sense of balance/order... if NAPs didnt exist this would be a game of 1 stat... strike action and nobody would keep a defence... it would be pointless
that is all...

I did not read al the reply's but i just want to say this ,
if you take away the naps all you wil get is 2 alliances with over 250 ppl in them , witch will be the same as now aka stronger in numbers.
shure you can beat up 5 ppl but you cant beat up 200 all by your lonesome .

Exactly. Hopefully a war would break that up and maybe form some smaller but more numerous 'elite of the elite' alliances

i seriously doubt that would happen, most likely you will have (as you do now) an elite core within an elite alliance.

I can see how having NAPs is beneficial, but it loses the wonderful simplicity of the game. Build stuff, attack stuff, gloat, rinse & repeat.
I started playing just as the race wars ended, of which i would of loved to be a part of because it encouraged a simple set of 4 alliances (races), and none of the ridiculous politics that happens now.
but the game has evolved now, and unfortunately it is now controlled by a bunch of overtly powerful, bored geeks. And these players take pride in playing god, i cant blame 'em - anyone would do the same in their position.
This i think is the heart of the problem - so many people would like to successfully play as a rogue, or in a small alliance, but the massive conglomerates make this impossible allying all the strongest powers together when a lot of those players could survive perfectly in MUCH smaller groups and alliances.
Honestly, my idea to help the game is pretty radical... and that would be to take out the alliances and leave it as commander's and officers

but hey, im a simple kind of guy

You don't realize that a war between Janus and FUALL would hurt the server more than it would help.
Reasons:
1) There would probably be a very large number of vultures who would all be massed and have alliances massed, etc. Half the server who wasn't involved would see their account go down the crapper.
2) Both sides would do quite a bit of farming, on both main and ascension, expecting no retaliation, so that hurts everyone else.
3) The winner of this war would have the resources to completely dominate both servers.
4) Turn value on the market would go down, since everyone needs them for big wars like this.

why do we keep coming back to FUALL and Janus?
