man i didnt even know of this problem. im sure every player would hate to have their account taken from their control for something they havent done. im sure every player would despise not being given a reason for this and having to wait an excessive amount of time for a resoulution.

the idea of having people to check on these accounts and pass on all revelant info to game admins is good. this would cut down the time a player has to wait. as long as these 'checkers' dont have the ability to change anything ingame themselves.

accounts under investigation should surely be placed on indefinite ppt. if they are innocent, they have their resources. if they are guilty, their resources can be deleted with their account. that seems very fair.

seeing as there are so few game admins a group of players (who are representative of many alliances) that gather information for them is logical.

players who abuse the game also ruin the game. a player should only have what he/she has worked for and earned. i accept that there have to be ways to catch cheaters but they should be precision techniques if possible. to operate a surgeon uses a scalpel, not a sword.

I agree fully with the autoban being ****. I have never been banned but the amount of innocent people after getting banned in the last month is unreal. and every one of those people who have had to wait ages just for a reply. It's like the admin dont give a ****. something should be done and done now.

although I kind of laughed at the thought of weirdy getting banned I agree that he is innocent and that the auto ban thing needs to be fixed.

As to the other points - I would never want to see any current players with admin powers ingame. People **Filtered** at ETL for the supposed influence he has over Jason, and supposed ingame powers - now imagine what would happen if he really did have those powers?

One of the current players I would trust with such a thing is Mordack, but even here, every decision he made would be looked upon in the light that he is an Omegan. No ingame player would ever be able to be trully objective.

Thank you for the vote of confidence, Magni. It means a great deal, although I'm not sure that the vast majority of the playerbase would agree with you.

You're right, unfortunately. No player, even one whose supposedly neutral, would be above scrutiny or viewed as objective. That's probably why Jason chose adminmark, who is supposedly a RL friend of his, as the gamemod instead of a well-established player. It's just a shame he isn't active.

The nature of the game pretty much assures that everyone has annoyed someone at some stage, so it'll be highly unlikely we could ever find 1 person who everyone agrees upon. That's why i suggested a team drawn from many alliances, the hope would be that with a suitably large pool to pick from there was always someone that the banned person and his allies would be happy enough doing the investigation.

with the exception of (and i did apologize at the time) the AK/Omega war and any posts in the GC, i've always tried to keep ingame and forum affairs separate when it comes to posting in non-war related posts, and i would think that peeps like me would get that recognition, regardless of what goes on ingame.

methinks peeps are just to fickle!

Having a player of SGW as game admin is as stupid as giving a blind man contacts. It is proven in the passed that there will be bias and what else there can happen. I auctually like the idea of seeing a message sent to jason when a script finds something instead of auto banning.

You know it would be nice if people actually took the time to READ what was said. No one has suggested players as Admins, what has been suggested is some players can CHECK on banned accounts to save Jason having to do everything himself.

Note the word CHECK, not ban, not unban, just CHECK, nothing more, nothing less. My suggestion is exactly the same as the one you just made FS, except the "team" of players would check the banning info and pass it on to jason instead of the script just passing it to him direct and him having to trawl through checking details which, to be blunt, any old monkey can do.

i agree the way this games banning is going its gonan scare people away / bann them and not get in touch or help them so they will leave if sgw wants to keep maing the money they do now i think they need to sort things out

I think they should be put on ppt and all naq/uu gets made while they are banned... If they are found innocent when they can log on they have 48hrs of ppt left after its unbanned(The staff then sends an email to the email address of the account notifying them its unbanned) , and if they are found guilty, its deleted...

a old player of taw created a game
not to much plays that game but he created a mod way that players can check others
with ip there and logs
is a very good solution where given to trusty players from different positions can trow away for good cheaters in game
autoscript banning
dunno i never was banned i don't understand the reason for ban
how you get there to be banned caesar is expert
he can explain :-D
about propositions with give back resource for banned accounts is not a solution
think that the player banned is in war
how much + he have if he is banned

That's a good point, too. Continued banning of innocent, and seemingly random, accounts will only serve to make peope frustrated and disillusioned with the game. We're at a stage where we need to be growing and recruiting newer players; not driving the old school away in droves.
