We are told since secondary school basics of law and in high school we learn economy and its history.
And I think it's the same in most of 15 older members of the Union, minus perhaps few of them.
From what I seen and heard, UK governement is totally different from any other EU governement. And from what I see, it's better we don't adapt on that.
And remain as we are, democracies firstly, republics (or monarchies) secondly. And all is fine, as it is...hmmm perhaps Berlusconi is screwing things up in Italy, and Belgium has some serious problems with its governement, but rest is fine.

Your forgetting Nicolas Sarkozy, he's a complete ass.

Here's a bed time story for the children of the future:-

See if you can guess which country it's about before the teller reveals it.

Education is the way forward. Unless the human race is doomed to repeat it's mistakes for all eternity. :|

What PoT said...and actually, he does some bad things, but also some good ones.
When I had different positions in politics (yes I used to be one of those fighting actively on debates for the socialism...now I'm out of that, been enlighted I can say.) I was 100% against him. Now...don't mind him, unless he decides bad things.

I thought of him, but his actions aren't a mess enough.

His attempt to bully the Irish into re-voting for the Lisbon treaty is a prime example of his ass like behavior.

Yeah, but what he is trying to do to the Irish is equal to political rape.

He should learn that No means No.

I really don't like the guy. He has a slimy quality about him.

Re: Best way to lead a country (or a federation)?

either anarchism, because the joker is right, it is fair...

but then again anarchism generally leads to one other thing...a dictatorship, which I believe would be the best. One person with advisers responsible, people trusting in their rule, all capable of uprising and removing the dictator. Not as easy as I put it...but demo's never work, some people just dont deserve the right to decide...and monarchs...meh....one family in so much power, I suppose its a dictatorship to a degree, but probably a more refined version because different branches, more for the dictator to lose or to compete with.

Communism in theory is the best theory, but humans are too selfish to comprehend it and make any sacrifices for it.

That's just a question of how well build up the educational system is. Also how competent your police force is in making sure that any thieves, robbers, corrupt bureaucrats and whatever dont' roam free.
