There are many ways in which you can respect and honour the dead, making a memorial forum isnt the only way...
I ll give you an example which will be far off but just to demonstrate:
There are loads of ppl who die every day, loads of soldiers that die for their country...there was a suggestion once to write (carve their names before the national parlament so we would hounour and respect them)...
Noble idea the answer however is...we honur and respect them on the cemetaries, military or civil ones and in other numerious ways but not in the way it was suggested...

At the moment, there will probably only be a brief thread about what happened, then it will float down into oblivion and be forgotten about.
Turns out that if most of the forum is for something, and 1 cretin of an ex-admin is against it, the idea will most likely not materialize into anything.
You're safe from being remembered as a human being Svarun. I'm sure you'll be forgotten just like everybody else.
Take a bow.
Absolutely ridiculous.
Nobody's comments deserve the ignorant tirade that is issuing from you. People are within their rights to state opinions - that does not mean that you can call them names and insult their character. Many people have pointed out now that you do little to strengthen your case by simply saying anyone who disagrees with you is wrong and then making ridiculous assumptions about them and calling them names, yet you continue to do it.
Before you resort to insults, read what people actually say - instead of simply launching abuse because they disagree. I take offense at your comments and attitude, and hope that you never, ever have to see your friends blown up or shot down in front of you.
How on earth could respecting and remembering the dead EVER be a step in the wrong way...
Correction... I simply don't care about the opinions of those who would stand in the way of such a self-less gesture.
I'm pretty sure this topic can be locked now that it's had its cross of disapproval.
Respect really is lost.
Laughable. Nobody (N-O-B-O-D-Y) has said anything about not respecting/remembering the dead - you simply do not like it because some do not think your suggestion is needed and that the current method is sufficient.
Absolutely unbelievable.
