In an ideal world

Admin would check the records and find out

what time
what was lost / taken
where did it go

from that they would track IP addresses of initial recievers, and check where if at all, the resources went from that account.

basically track the last place the resources find themselves.

re-instate the account as was, and IP ban / freeze all acounts involved until proven either way.

In an ideal world

what will most likely happen

nothing will be restored

we wont find out who was responsable

and the culprits will do it again and again get away with it

and sry to hear this.. maybe u had same pass on ur omega forum or something like that and some1 in ur forum admin team just felt like doing this evil act...

i think the admin should make a special exception for u and return ur resources.. and also tell us who it was sent to.

Well admin has made contact and they said they are looking into it. What actions they are going to take is not known as of yet.

So fingers crossed they can get things peachy again.

About the email...nah the email i used for my accounts we completely unique to everything else. So was not used elsewhere.

@Azarak. Thats a good idea but ive been getting hate mail from them. lol. So they not be in the mood since i/they/it apparently DM'd their accounts.

Done any spyware/adware/virus scans lately? Could be some sort of keylogger =(

Nope. It all points to a personal attack against me.
If it was a random hacker then they would not know how ascended works and what to do in main.

After explaining what happened to them I would think they would get over it and accept it was out of your control. If they dont well just shows what type of person they are doesnt it?

just because it was personal attack it doth not mean that mean's they used was not keylogger for example. and since you are saying you don't have same password anywhere else.. well only question i may ask is maybe you have it written in txt doc in your pc. that'd be easily hackable. but hacking whole server, downloading encrypted database and decoding your password is a bit unrealistic. so i'd reccomend you to get your self good anti-spyware, trojan horse removing software. also another possible way was if they hacked email account and requested password from forgot login.

The story gets a whole lot different if you take in account that this has happened to quite a few accounts thus far. One could -without a leap of faith- go as far as assume that, of a certain date, there actually IS a cracked copy of the database.
Such a thing would be a paranoid thing to say, if it were restricted to but the one person. It is not, and therefore is not a very paranoid thing to say, but an actual option.

Force every single user to change their PW on the next login, repeatedly. Once a month should do the trick?

Frankly ...that is NOT acceptable. This player needs to be made whole and it needs to happen quickly. It is not acceptable to treat long-term customers this way.

You have been very fair to me in the past, and I assume the above reply was not your policy...

If this is the new policy I will make a LARGE display in the main forum if this player is not restored in whole...you have the capability...you did it for me once.

It is a bit arrogant to reply in this manner, and as customers we will not accept it. I mean it.

It pisses me off to see long term members of this game community...PEOPLE THAT HELPED BUILD IT ESPECIALLY ...to be treated like this. We are your source of income...and we are customers. We do not have to put up with this tripe.

Sorry to hear this has happened, even though I have never spoken to you Shornaal, everything I have seen on the forum shows you to be one of the good ones in the server in many ways. I hope that everything is put right.

I'm sorry to hear what has happened to your account. I despise hackers.
However admins cannot give you stuff back because it would be unfair to other people who were hacked and didn't get stuff returned. And if he gives you stuff back he needs to give it to other players aswell as we're all equal and who is to say that they didn't support the game aswell?

The fact is the account was not technically hacked.

Someone simply logged in to an account because they had the login details. Now they could have been obtained elsewhere by hacking or by other means. But it doesn't mean the account was hacked.

I would love to see admins put Shornaal's account back to normal, as with many others i'd like to see put back to normal, however a line does have to be drawn somewhere. And that line is when it is not admins fault.

Agreed...if his account does get setted back to normal I'll also expect accounts of many other hacked players being set to normal.
