Wow, you managed to convey an utter ignorance of politics..in one sentence. Obama invests more in the military and turns our attention back to Afganistan, where it should have always been...

Oh and why do we need to waste money on carriers? Having 5 times more than any other nation is really that great?..

Well hope he beefs up security where ever he goes cause all the racists will be trying to kill him now. I heard they already foiled 5-6 plans to kill him already.

Obama has promised to scrap the military program I said, though we still need to see if he keeps that promise... I've kept up with this race as it's the first presidential race I could vote in. As for Afganistan, it's getting just as bad as Iraq. And when it gets to be too much, we'll retreat and Al Qaida & the Taliban will take back over.

As for the Carrier Battle Group, take in account the number of jobs it provides. What is the Navy going to do with all the sailors that mans those ships? They ain't going to say 'We don't have a enough ships for you to work on, but we'll still pay you what you normally earned!' The Navy is going to release them and they're all going to be looking for jobs, jobs that are in short supply.

Government Healthcare seems to be working just fine in Canada.
Matter of fact, I quite frankly love being able to go to the hospital whenever I need because I need to. Or, even then; walk-in clinics because I'm not feeling good and I want a doctor to tell me that I'm not feeling good. Then, with my health insurance I want to go to a pharmacy and fill up a prescription on 5$ < that's the charge for filling the prescription and bottle/handling, not the meds themselves!

That's all it costs me to get my medicine and see a doctor, the pharmacy's cost. You'll be happy when you have gov. healthcare, trust me. Never hafta pay for it.

I just love the idea of the government increasing MY income taxes and such just so people who dont work hard enough can get their meds with my money, you do realize the cost of living in canadia is higher than in the US? healthcare being a contributing factor. Not the way to go if the dems really wanna fix our economy

its simple... you cant afford healthcare... dont get sick. not that hard.


and honeslty, not that i want it to happen, i wont be surprised if he does get killed.

You Americans don't know the meaning of the word taxes or high gas prices, so you can go play your little violin somewhere else!

In Scandinavia the average taxrate is between 40% and 55% and yet we have for years now had the highest standard of living.

The price of petroleum in Norway is on average right now around 2-2,5 USD per litre! That means it's between 8 to 10 USD a gallon, and here you are whining about it almost getting to 3-4$ a gallon! You should be ashamed of yourselves

honestly if all the money that us citizens pay on medical insurance was put into public health care, you would have a really good system.
