"Origins" Server...Would you play it?

Would you play a server if it was a "Old" style play of this game? Basically, before Mothership's and Planets? A non resetting server. Where it would actually cost something to mass, where people would think twice before massing others, where war cost something, and where people will actually win and loose wars because others cannot grow during it!

Would you? I Would in a heart beat!

As i have said countless times, i would without any hesitation
I would buy an SS atleast too, because old style sgw was the best

I now play SGAW instead, because its the closest thing i know to the old SGW but with a twist

I'd have no interest in spending more time on a online game then i do now, so playing to is a no way!!

but if u was to make the main more like the old days then i'd say give it a go!

Another thing to point out, while some would not be interested in playing the new Origins server, think about the people who left because of how far the game has gone or the people who consider leaving on a regular basis for the same reason. I think this would attract new attention from players all over, AND give new players a chance to start fresh and the complaint of people not being here from the start and being behind people who have been here since the start would fade on this server. (Until it's old as well.)

Su makes an excellent point - many people have left or became less interested (this includes me) because of how the game has been developed/ruined over time. The reason this has occurred is generally down to the selfishness of the individual player, rather than people looking at the benefit of the game as a whole.

I would definately play it.

To many people have already quit. More follow. The game is loosing players just as fast as it gains. The biggest problem is it's loosing old players currently. Soon, the newest players will leave as the gap between 3year old players and new players stays near the same.

What comes to mind, is massing people and loosing something you can't get back in a day. having a thought process behind your game play. Tactics win instead of mass button clicks.

i would love to play it, i was playing the german server a while back which was the basic game as it started in 2005, it was fun but restricting the language to german meant there weren't really that many players and it didnt' grow very much and i quit but this sounds great

I would play it. There's nothing like waiting for one turn every half hour as your only way of getting turns.

Sounds interesting, but I simply don't have the time. I would have to choose - my current account or a new one, and given that I still enjoy main I would probably choose the old one.

One think I like about main is the dynamics. It changes regularly, not always for the best, I agree, but it keeps it interesting. The best ways of doing something constantly needs to be re-thought, keeping me awake.
