Its like being a cop in real life. When you're off duty doesn't mean your job is over. You could have arrested someone and now they're out of jail and **Filtered** off at you so they show up at your house one night.
Risk factor.
Does that mean i cna have a gun in my house?

No..!! Dutch law clearly states that you can't touch anyone, even if they stand in your bedroom at night with your wide screen 42 inc plasma tv in their hands.
You cant beat him up cus ye, he will sue you
well i have a 50" fujitsu avm2 on my wall and 1, i'd like to see em lift that off the wall!
and 2, if i find someone has managed it and is standing there with it in there hands they are fair game and more than likely, will be dog food, regardless of laws!!!!
erm...not sure how that ties in with this thread, but there ya go

Even if your poll deemed it unacceptable, there'd still be people that do it. Just part and parcel of the job, honestly.

I agree. Whoever wants to mass me over a moderator decision can. It just shows how immature they are.

It is unacceptable to mass a mod for their actions as a mod. The right course of action is honest discourse through the channels given on the forum. At the end of the day we are the customers adn if you use the channels given you your view will be heard.
To mass a mod for doing something as a mod is tant amont to having someone in life telling you something you dont like so you punch them rather then discuss it. I guess for that analogy they would actually be a sort of authority you would be punching also which is even worse.
Which from what i can tell there are alot of people on this forum that resolve their RL problems with violence so I guess it shouldnt be surprising when they mass mods.

lol , its a game , anything gous , ppl have even massed Jason so why not a mod , no matter wat the reason.
I'v massed ppl for being alliance leader of some dude that farmed my members , was that fair ?
And wats next , ppl getting somthing done to there account by Jason for massing a mod ?
Its always being a risk , nothing going to change it.

I'm not whining, I just wanted to see community opinion on the subject. How else will I know what people think.

I thought this was why a while back we had those other accounts for mods which were meant to provide them with anonymity when doing their duty? That was meant to prevent their game account coming under attack for impartial performance of their duties. At least that's what I thought was the reason.
Perhaps though this is why we see that mods have tended to come from the bigger alliances 1, because they are more active and 2 because they can provide some protection.
Though is it acceptable?
Difficult.
Even if the mod is impartial the banned or warned person is not likely to think that so they are most likely to argue that they were massing because of personal insult or other.
I take it someone you banned has massed you ingame Clarkey?

Question for the current mods:
Before you are modded are you warned that you might be massed for your actions?

I have been massed on occasions because of modding yes, but I seem to get threats on most occasions when I warn someone, especially if it is their 3rd warning resulting in a ban, yet i doubt such threats were made for the first 2 warnings because they didn't happen to be the point when a ban kicks in.
Maybe it's mainly because I used to mod the GC section. But I don't see the point in doing a Mod job if you face massings everytime you warn someone.
