ME is a cool feature on the game but as said earlier in this thread your failures should count against you (Perhaps equally in points) that way you at least get a feel for how you're doing, that's probably what the plus/minus tally was put in for but I've never seen mine move.
Make ME like the rest of the game, rank 1 takes effort to get to not just something a ME chaser just goes for. I've kept to this game for the shear reason that rank 1 changes on a weekly basis almost, it's always going to be a competition to get there.
