Hah, Ron Paul was one of the few candidates with half a brain. I'm not a huge fan of American politicians on the whole, but I liked Ron Paul enough to become his friend on facebook. Some of his economic policies are a little 'out there', but his understanding of intenational relations and America's role in shaping the events of the 20th century was unparalelled.

Probably because he's sort of a libertarian among other things?

What he said!
And to I am thor, I suppose that if John Edwards was for some reason the winner, it wouldn't have been for pity/feel good I'm sure?
If another candidate had EXACT same program and ideas as Obama, but was white, it would be for his program, isn't it?

(didn't say she as it could also be vote for "pity", who knows? >_< )
God, those double standards based on skin are really annoying me... >_<
The majority of people that voted for Obama did so solely because he is black. Double standard it may be, but that does not make it any less of a fact.

*Tries to think of a way to not just blow up on everyone.*.... failed....*Walks away*
I can't participate in this xd.
1. I would lose cause you all seem to hate our president.
2. o.o I actually like him and you all just disgust me with trying to find reasons he shouldn't have been able to take it.
Come on people It was him... or.... a republican... come on?

i not only hate your president and 90% of your congress but i hate with a passion our PM, all of parliament, the house of lords and the monarchy, i'll put it to you this way...
if i had 1 free shot and a free pick of the above, i would not be able to decide who to shoot or who i want to shoot the most!
they ALL make me sick!

and please explain to me 2 things...
that's like choosing to be poisoned by a snake rather than eaten alive by a lion. bad is bad, and making a choice because you see 1 as being slightly more competent than the other is a wasted and uneducated decision/vote, how can you justify that?
also please explain to me what the difference is between a republican and a democrat

As I understand it & I might be wrong but to compare them to the UK system its as follows
Democrat = Labour / Liberal / Far left
Republican = Conservative / Far right

you missed the point mate...
whats the difference between let and right (regardless of the names of the party's) when there is no difference anymore?
it was not to long ago that "new labour" looked sounded and acted as conservative, and was even compared as such by ALL the media.
they are all useless and couldn't organize a drunken orgy in a brewery if their lives depended on it.

Yes but in the US there is still a difference at least in ideals & raw thoughts between the right & the left if not much difference between theri actions
OF course you could blame that on the civil service as they are the ones who are never changed. These mandarins are really the ones making everything worse tihnking that they know best and that they can never be wrong

true, but also we have to keep in mind that many of the top think tanks around the world also contribute to the same top 2/3 political party's, so many of the ideas and policies of the top 2/3 partys stem from many of the same sources, and that's to say nothing about corporate lobbying of all sides.
personally, i see government (all forms of government, regardless of the country or anything else) as a starving T-rex, and if this starving animal is not kept on a VERY tight leash, we get the government that we deserve

the Rothschilds otherwise known as the official visiors to the British monarchy and the personal bankers of the Vatican and pope.
you have the number 1 scumbag in the US, David Rockefeller.
there's quite a few more names but those 2 are the top dogs with the Rockefellers being the Rothschilds lap dogs.
why do you ask?
