nope the cov agents are the target of assassinations now so your pretty much indistructable and yes if your go'auld or replicator its pretty standard to start killing the population or enslaving them

i just now hit a guy:

"CounterIntelligence Agents"....... i killed 1 anti cov op......

u kill anti and covert with assinations.

Yes you kill both covert and anti covert with assassination.

The mission outline discribes the mission as

Send your spies into an enemy's base to stealthily assassinate enemy spies.
You may loose spies due to enemy patrols and if your enemy's anti covert forces spot you during your mission.

When your spies run into the enemy patrols they fight.

The mechanics for losses to enemy covert and anti covert units are the same. So if you can kill 5 of one type, you can kill 5 of the other aswell. You should also be able to kill 5 of both types if your covert power is high enough.

shouldnt spies not be able to kill ac since there trained spy hunters and with that system you can really do much damage to players with higher cov's than you making it rather pointless

thats the point of cov/anti levels and trained troops.
you cant see a players anti level or troops so it is a best guess,but hit a cov for an assassination when they have anti cov trained high enough and OOOH! the pain.
if spies are say 200 power and anti is at 40 power same level skill then cov should kill them easy,ect....
remember that anti stops covert but no antis lets covert kill cov/antis.
forces good tactics as per the set up and defence of ones account.
