wow talk about a thread that filled up quick too bad most of it is junk
ok lets see what needs to be said
as for the U.S. not buying oil and what it would do to OPEC sure they might colapse but right now so would the U.S. without oil so it stays in the realm of fantasy. albiet a happy one.
as for Global Warming lies while i agree that the climate is changing it is always changing if you look at the figures for geological time scales we are in the most stable period ever know so either the data is faulty or we should expect the climate to change. we are curently in what they call a interglacial period (warm spell) which is the time between ice ages now compared to the last interglacial we are still 5-10 degress cooler than where we will end up regaurdless of human interfence.
now this is by no means my opinion but it is one widely held by geologists if my Professor is telling me the truth at least.
as for wasting money on wars yes i would be great to live in a perfect world but we don't

LOL
Yes it might be junk, but it's an interesting topic, and I love a good debate. I might even start a thread about what or where Atlantis might really be. lol
I agree about not living in a perfect world. But being a career soldier (23 years) I see the waste that can be prevented. Like replacing and entire engine on an M-1 tank (500k +) because you don't want to mess with taking the engine apart to get to a $100 part inside?
Lazy and wasteful if you ask me.

just wondering how the aurora borealis is linked in anyway to global warming?
i've seen some preety losely tied "IT'S GLOBAL WARMING" straw grasping but that takes the cake.
as for the rest while posibly an indicator it's by no means a freak new occurence strange weather has been happening and messing with animals for as long as humans have been paying attention (at least) and global warming or not it won't stop anytime soon.
Lonewolf don't get me wrong junk is great and if you start that thread i will definatley read it and post a thought
global warming or not i agree we have to stop using the sky and sea as a giant toilet to flush our waste into but i've read the ipcc reports and plenty of other global warming "science" and they don't convince me the science is at best sloppy at worst almost non-existant

This is lies
Coincidence that your snow fall has lessened, is what I say. Look at Britian the last winter. They had more snow fall. Its just varience.
Aurora has to do with the sun and our magnetic field not global warming
