Perhaps one thing that you dont know, ETL, is that the players from the early who get the most praise and respect within TA are those that are still here, like Nox and O-Neill. Personally I think anyone who's only legacy is to cause what is basically a never-ending (or four years and still counting) conflict with other major alliances is not someone who I should be looking up to. I will generalise and say that the majority of newer TA players probably feel the same.

Oh and one more thing, lets not forget that the history between TA and EPA is interesting. In the early stages of the game TA and EPA were very closely related, infact before alliance tags came in we shared many members. The ties between TA and EPA were eventually cut (though TA were none the wiser at the time) and EPA caught us completely by suprise when they joined the GA, and subsequently fought against TA in the Faction War. Its interesting that TA and EPAs paths have crossed as allies again. This song and dance seems to have gone in a full circle.

Indeed EPA's history is extremely complex, thanks largely to Wolf's penchant for diplomacy and Jase's penchant for war

I must agree with ETL on another point though, things would be much better if Wolf was back :(

I know about the history between the EPA/TA....in those days race specific alliances were 'the thing'..I'm not sure if I'm right, but I believe Omega were the first major non racial alliance. As for the EPA/TA ties being cut, I would place most of the blame on your old leaders. And yes I got along with Nox..used to talk to this guy in the TA..can't remember his name right now..he used to love quantum. We had some good fights and some good laughs.

As for the state of affairs since then..it's weird because after those guys jay, thor etc. left the TA, the TA was no longer a prioritised enemy. I don't think I have directly spoken to a leader of the current TA in 2 years I think. I remember Opticallove was a decent bloke to talk to. And for all we used to wind up ELUSIVE, we used to chat. I have been away alot for 2 years due to certain reasons, and in that time things have gotten more vicious.

Yeah, after you tried to extort one of our HC members, we didn't really feel all that chatty

Up to this point all of you, except for ETL, fail to see that while generalising statements may feel insulting, they are not.

Saying that ducks have wings does not mean every duck has wings. It merely establishes a baseline from which individual ducks may or may not vary.

Generalising statements are recognised by the word "all" appearing, or no specification of individual objects being given. "All of Nemesis Sect are cheaters", is an accusation to every single individual in Nemesis Sect. "Nemesis Sect are cheaters", is a general statement that while it accuses Nemesis Sect, does not say anything about it's members other than that there is a representative number of cheaters among their ranks. While the alliance pride may have been dented, no individual accusation was made. And while it sucks to have your pride dented, it is nothing to go crazy about.

..
..

Meh.. pearls to the swines. You wouldn't understand.

This has to be the biggest hissy fit thread I have ever read in my whole time at SGW.

Now, usually I'd be all over this but I'm not going to make it worse. Jesus, calm down and take a deep breath some of you people.

Just because you hate somebody, and you use your reason for fighting this war as wanting to destroy him and Omega..you still don't need to act like tools.

Seriously. ](*,)

Please, I'm simply responding to the same tripe I have to respond to during every accusation by ETL or Tekki or well insert the other people I usually end up talking to about this stuff. I don't stand for people insulting my alliance.

lmao u lot still going on about the oneill..he knows very well we were joking with him because I sent him a message about it..but ofcourse anything for propaganda. I remember jake and me having a good laugh seeing how bothered he got. Seriously I didn't need to extort him..I could have raided him at any time and destroyed him at any time. If you really want to quibble, jay6669 used to actually extort officers and such and was reported to admin. And people will ask, who is jay? one of the leaders of your precious TA.

But as was mentioned above, this is a OE/EPA thread..so back on topic..

off for the night..

OMG not more talk about TA members who left over 3 and a half years ago  Whatever will I do?

Oh and by the way, something tells me you demanding 7 mill uu in main (at the time a decent amount) or you mass him, he refusing, and you mass him is a serious extortion attempt. Or are you saying that if he paid up, you would have massed him anyway breaking your word?

But that's okay I get it, we're bug exploiters, your side are bug testers. We're cheaters, your side are falsely accused (even when accused by you yourself previously ). We're extorters, your side are only fooling around

God I love the hypocrisy.

What side used the phase bug to withdraw naq and keep it out and mass? WHILE PHASED... Oh, that would be EPA... Damn... Almost forgot about that....

I suspect he is referring to Stoney and a couple of other aussies that abused this bug unaware that it was a bug. They paid their dues for their crimes and it certainly wasn't sanctioned abuse by EPA.

Oh look someone that is a bright crayon in the box! :) Unlike Nimras, he is one of the dull brown crayons!

How do you not know that it is a bug? You have your naq out massing someone and they cannot hit you... Its pretty obvious or are there only dull colors in the box of crayons in EPA?

Just curious Mathlord, what is the statute of limitations on bringing up old issues? You mentioned the Oneill(sorry if spelled wrong) incident... how long ago was that?

It was more recent than half the things ETL was bringing up, and pretty much everything related to the TA. All of his claims against us come from Spring of 2005, shame none of those players are around to defend themselves. Now Oneill's particular issue was in the beginning of 2007. While that is not recent by some of your standards, it is far more recent than alot of things in this topic. Especially considering I only mentioned it in response to ETL's commenting he hadn't spoken to TAF leadership in two years. I feel it's a pretty complete explanation of why that is.
