Ok, first of all, just lol.
Tab farming, is a well known game tactic, it is not a shadow tactic or hidden from newbies or anything so dark and mischevious.
There is a Newbie section of the forumn, if you wish for to find information, get information, or place information on attacking strategies, go there.
Or you can do what most people in SGW who have been playing have done and learn for yourself.
There is nothing unfair about using your keyboard to speed up farming on the turns, before Windows was created (or another Graphical OS if your not a Bill Gates Groupie) their was DOS (or alternatives) where all you used was your keyboard (I think, I wasn't into PC's then
). The keyboard has the ability to have short cuts, i.e CTRL-TAB which lets you do things you'd normally have to do with your mouse (click menu, click new tab (w.e)) in the blink of an eye, as you can type far faster than you can point and click.
Ok now, as you said, Macro's, technically, thats not correct, a Macro is something you can record+replay on your computer, (windows has a Macro system built in or downloadable) i.e, you can press record then do your Tab farming, then you can have it do it for you on the turn as apposed to you. It cant do it with unlimited speed it has limitations, you cant always spend exactly 0.3 seconds loading a page, sometimes there is some lag and it will take 2 seconds to load a page, but your Macro won't wait, you've programmed it at 0.3 seconds, therfore your Macro skips a few steps ends up doing the wrong thing, and before you know it you have changed your name.
Macro is a massively inefficient way to cheat, well, it wasnt, turnly banking overnight (as well as other times off the keyboard) using a Macro used to be a good strategy before Admin put in a code at the banking point, (which I asked him to change to a code at login (was more efficient), hence the now existing login code), Which means a macro would only be efficient for 3 hrs, could be every half hour but people moan. Now there are ways past the login code, or atleast there used to be, but this is far too much for a simple Macro maker to break.
PHP, that is where the new cheats lie, using scripts to bank/farm w.e in the blink of an eye, PHP can also be used to break the login code. (Supposedly) but I know nothing about PHP so I cant explain anything about it, but a friend of mine broke it once and we relayed the information of how we broke it to Admin, it was then upgradedm, it may still be breakable though. But never the less yes there are people who cheat but I assume the ingame cheat detection system's and the Admins work to fight cheaters is sufficient.

If anybody wants to play SGW better, and learn some of the many tips and tricks the older players have learnt then I suggest you take one up as a commander and ask them. The Old players have no reason to give out their strategies, some do however out of the kindess of their heart, others do so for payment or a returned favour, (such as being an officer) but nether the less, you wont learn if you dont ask.
Tab farming is thought of as common knowledge, if someone comes along whos never played the game before, they wouldn't even know how to change their name let alone using browser shortcuts with the game functions to speed things up., such as TAB farming, I suggest newbies, go to the newbie section most every tip and trick is in their somewhere. Or become an apprentice (officer) of someone who can share their own personal knowledge.

And a final note, t1_t2, you seem quite uptight or wound up, I suggest to you that you loosen up a little bit.
