or perhaps community evaluations

community evaluations will favor the visible mods... the ones working in the background, will usually get less attention... but it would occasionally be nice to hear what people have to say about us mods...

well, from where i'm sitting, the mod/admin i respect the most is bazsy?
i know he does a different job from all the other mods and administrators but hes really the backbone of these forums and one of the most motivated and interest people i've met here!

and is probably better because hes avoided all the childish politics that goes on in these forums.

At times I have been quite friendly with most of the mods, I have been aware of about 99% of what goes in in the secret forums.. and I seem to have enough pull to be able to 'access' any areas I might need at a given point so long as my reason is reasonable.

I have long since been gifted with a personal colour.. so all in all the only reasons I could see for being a mod are those of power. Although.. I am probably considered to be 'too dangerous' to be given such power. On the other hand.. I have never applied and never bothered to chase it up to find out. I would only ever be a GM though. I would not accept a 'lower' position, nor would I ask to do more work. (An admin would have to ask me to be a mod.. lol I wont hold my breath though).

I also mod the debate section, although it very rarely requires any modding at all so I acknowledge my mod position in there external too it at my discretion and convenience (obviously this does not reflect my actual level of activity in the section).

I would suggest any newbie would want to be a mod as it's a good way to start taking steps up from the bottom of the social food chain.

Probably the most egotistical post of yours I have ever read. I lol'd. Some of it's good advice though

egotistical is what we do... although is stating truth egotistical? Usually confused for that...

It is in my opinion o.O

Yes, Baszy's contribution to these forums is very much underrated. As the only truly tech savvy admin, I'd even go so far as to say he's invaluable.

I'm a mod because I love to give something back to the community and because it is something i actually enjoy doing and i feel helps people.

so just wondering, how is the selection process done. is it just based on our application, or is it based on interviewing candadites as well? or are you going to interview those in the community about the possible candidates?

im just curious bout how you guys select fresh meat... i meant new mods. :D

I stole some of his duties cos i liked to get my hands dirty :P , But bazsy sorts out problems, And database issues, the kind of stuff you really have to be qualified to do. Without Baz i really doubt this forum would still exist, Someone would have broken it uber by now, he actually knows what every button does...

:o
