Yep, I buy ATs. Used to be mainly to raid, now I sell 2/3 of what I buy. But For last 2 months and well into the future I will charge based on size in most cases. Smaller accts get cheaper AT! This is because AT prices have been outrageous, and it's really unbalanced for the new players.

I've not spent any of my own money on this game.

I got my FSS for the bargain price of 150k UU. (back then 1000 G+R was very tricky for anyone to get, let alone a new player without FSS).
Then at one point I sold a few tril naq and ATs to another player for $, then used the $ to buy UU from another player. That was a long time ago though, and seeing as it was money generated from selling resources and not my own money, I think I can go with a no.

when i was playing i had spend several thousand and made about double it back from selling UU naq and accounts that i had built up.

That's how I got my SS, I traded 20K UU for El Magnifico to buy me a SS.

3500-4000k on everything Naq, uu, turns.

Probably spent $400 or so on USS/SS on Quantum... money i made from the game, not out of my own wallet...but contributing to the site nonetheless

Jezus Q, I certainly hope 3.5-4k, not really 3.5-4 mil as you noted down there

I like how everyone spends both what they want to AND how much they can spare.
Because it is rather easy to complain about people spending money on the game when you're too young to have a creditcard yourself, or when your income sucks too much to make it possible to spend money on any game.

I don't assume Q is spending his entire income on the game. Or even a percent of it. But if he'd choose to, okay, that's his call.

My guess is simply this; Q's (sorry pal, but you're the best example I can find) income is excellent. He has allocated some money to hobbies. This game is a hobby of his, and as such has some budget.



Now if we'd lower the income to standard student or child levels, we see that the amount of money we could allocate to this game has become insignificant (maybe 1 USS a year). As our envy with those who have more grows, we start to whine louder. Ultimately.. it is all just envy and a failure to understand someone could see SGW as a hobby worth spending money on.
And hell, it's a lot better to spend it on SGW as it is on online casino games that rob you blind.. At least here you know what you get.

at least with sgw, your playing it a lot more, and when your done you can always sell to get some of it back (used games usually don't get you much)

Very good point.

I did spend $ on SGW and I don't mind saying it out loud. I didn't spend much, I mostly spent $ while trading and an SS.
