I'm not so sure about this myself. If i was a new player, and had to leave perg once i got to 22m, i may not have much of a chance. 44m, would give me a better chance, allow for some 20-30M miners/lifers, and then 10-20 UU for spies, defense and attack

personally, I like the kick once xxx rank is reached...
it should be the 5 G&R 'barrier' where, once reached, they will be kicked immediately.
Then, size limit could be 10%...
There could also be total power restrictions so nobody could get too powerful of stats in perg...

Terrible idea.
If main was played "normally" no one in purg could get near spot one.
Pergatory is just fine the way it is. It`s certain attitudes outside of perg that should change.
The same attitudes that caused pergatory being introduced in the first place mind you lol.

C'mon GC we all know that albeit TE was a big example to shoot at, it wasn't by far the only one, and also GA/CoP/FUALL and TTF have been/are that way from time to time, and also sometimes players outside those alliances.
@ the idea: it's always difficult. Those Purg-only style alliances with bigger players are no fun since they hide and nearly cannot be touched, but if you change too much, you hurt the players who need it.
How about the following: down from 10% to 5%, but those who are outside the top 0,4% are allowed to stay in it till the 10%, otherwise an instant boot. Coz if someone at that size manages to get that big in stats, they also ought to be able to hold their own. Otherwise, it's just a plain dumb action from them.

how about keep it so that you cant go over rank 500. if your overal rank does go above it. it gives you 24 turns (12 hrs) to get below a certain rank to stay in purg. And change it to half a point of g and r a turn for purg.

HonoredSLayer i think the auto boot is a better option personally.
Though I'd suggests some sort of protection, so they can realize they've been booted. But also have a disclaimer, warning that a rank about 500(for example) shows they have skill enough to survive in normal reality, and "The gods of Purgatory" will kick them out, since they have got their foothold on the game

Says it all really. Why are some people so obsessed with imposing their own style of play on everyone else. Leave purg, sorry "perg" people be. If they think there is a problem with it then they will say so. It shouldn't be 'main' people arguing for changes to it all the time.

So you think that the only 10G&R spot in the game, should be allowed to be help by someone in perg?
Infact, upon last look, 10-20% of the top 30 account are people in perg.
If it didn't affect main players at all, then i'd support you in saying that only perg people should suggest changes to it. But since it does affect normal reality players, i think we should be allowed to make comments

beat me to it. I was about to suggest build more stats too. There's nothing to stop anyone in main from doing that.
And if the counter argument is "but the ME hunters will get me if I build more" then it kind of proves the problem is with main not perg.
Changing perg so that someone in main doesn't have to build as much to get rank 1 or page 1 or 5 G/R seems like a load of utter BS to me. It's a free market, supply (limited) /demand (up to you). If you want rank 1 put your naq where your mouth is and build some stats.

It's not that people want rank 1, it's that people don't think someone in perg should be at rank 1. Perg was not created to make an easy staircase to rank 1.

That's exactly at what the problem is. It's fine that people grow there, but there's a point where's it becomes unfair that someone can stay that long in Purg. Purg is/was meant for those who wanted to grow in peace, not for those who want to get to rank one while being practically untouchable.
A rank 1 position is always seen as a position of power that is more or less earned, which includes being able to withstand the tries of others to butt you off it. But with the current situation, the competition for such a spot of honour is unfair because the top spot (except for building crazy stats) is unreachable through the regular form of competition in this game.
