okay if your so afraid of losing your precisous miners why not have it if you have no deffense you get no income that turn or atleast half the income that way there are still farms... basically your miners "seal of the mines" and that way it would make more people want a deffense aswell....

mmmm.... maybe.
Thing is, most ME hunters don't bother about their own resources, they just farm other people for them anyway, so it's not really going to be of much help

Um, lifer suicide.... ?
Since what is to stop me training them 100m at a time, to get more lifers, to waste on your AC

Umm... Maybe because if we were at war, I might want you to lifer suicide me? After all, you ARE losing 3x more than I am... And if neither of us have destroyable stats (other than AC), this would benefit me more than you?

I sorta like the idea of a defense being left at the home base, when the attacking forces go out hunting for NAQ and UU, else - any noobs come in an steal it all.
Perhaps - if there are no spies and no defense. There should be entries in the attack logs with names attached.. it could show attacks with ??? for the attackers name.
Think about it - there are no spies or defenders back at the base to report "who done did it?" -- ok, I guess their could be video cameras (shoot, started off as an idea)

And you supporters are directly contradicting yourselves...
If 'miners were to die' when your 'home world is undefended', then you should make attack/def/covert planets lose stats as your attack/defend/spy.

yes and if you train all your miners where the heck do you get your income... exactly miners are crucail and would make people need a deffense first and thats exactly wat it is... we need to figure out a way that people who stat mass can have to have something to lose to...

You would be receiving no personal income then.. And would have to find farms with at least 10b naq out and no defense to make a profit.

Which is pretty much the core concept of this idea. Punish people for not having something to defend their home base with. Heck, even if they say have no defense, then you CAN raid their miners/lifers after 12-24 hours of not having a defensive stat

pffft. 10bil. Finding farms with a >20bil TIP is surprisingly easy
But the thing is... I know a few people who think miners are a liability, as they give their enemies something to profit from.

Well, atm, the only things not kill-able by direct enemy confrontation are attack units, and miners/lifers. If one or both of these could be destroyed, with even alot of effort, it would make people at least think 2x, before sitting there stat-less

This an idea i sorta like but minners are never ment to die it would ruin the game i believe i worked so hard and i have mainly minners
