The game has become lifeless and boring
Seriously considering my current status in the game

I fully agree with Brdavs calls on MS's and ascentions, both are spot on, admin was told both were bad ideas, and he did them anyway.
what I don't agree with is the remark about it being "top heavy". I personally think it sucks that I can only grow by a mer 25 mill A YEAR, while a new account can grow by that in 1 day. I think it sucks that NO MATTER how I build or gear my 4 yr old account, that a 6 month old account can mass it to the ground and have 0 on it for me to retaliate against.
The restrictions are on both ends
WHY, oh why make growth so quick just to cut it off? racing from red light to red light is all it is now.
Lack of care or concern from admin is the real problem. this community as a whole can fix 99% of the issues in the game, but only if admin will listen and act.
As for a reset, honestly what will that change? if you have problems now, guess what, they still going to exist even after a reset.
Honestly, I think admin would like the idea, get people to fork over big $$, then after a year delete it all and have them fork over more $$.

The problems are:
1. that there are too many non-destroyable stats,
2. that there are too many restrictions on growth,
3. and that there are/were too many artificial infusions of resources, inflating the system.
Furthermore, AT should never have been tradeable. A turn is an opportunity to deploy. Everyone should be limited by time for that particular resource. PPT should only be available for money. Right now, this'd be a good move for admin, seeing as so many people are addicted to PPT, admin might make some serious money. Heh. Sure, people would whine, but in the end, they'd accept it. Heck, they've accepted the game as it is now and its current state is terrible.
Let's face it: the ability to be completely immune for 48 hours is worth more than 10bil Naq. It should be a luxury, not the foundation of a so-called strategy.
As far as my first three points are concerned, I'll address each one individually.
1. Destroyable stats. How pointless is a war these days if two accomplished players can't really damage each other? Most of their assets aren't destroyable, anyway. Miners, lifers, MS slots and hangars - even AC units aren't so easy to destroy. The only way to destroy them uses a ridiculous amount of lifers and can't even be defended. Here's my alternative proposal:
a. AC ceases to exist.
b. Strike power can destroy spies, but only when the defense is 0
c. Strike power can also destroy attack forces, but only when the defense is 0
d. Miners can be raided on top of UU, but again, only when the defense is at 0
e. Each of the above stats would be capable of some form of resistance against attack, although limited. For example, attack weapons could be deployed defensively, but at 10%-25% efficiency and only when under attack. This would ensure that a multi trillion strike is not brought down by one weapon, for example.
f. Empty weapons/shield/fleet slots could be destroyed when the mothership's shield power reaches zero. For this to be possible, it would need to become possible to destroy all shields. Also, 1 turn attacks should not damage the MS as much as a 15 AT attack, which I believe is currently the case.
2. There are too many restrictions on growth. This one is self-explanatory. Why limit large players' growth? They worked hard. Granted, if everything were destroyable, they might not have the stats they have today, but still, let the limitations on what they can achieve be set by their opponents and not by some unnatural game feature. The plague? If it's going to be an element of the game, it might as well affect alliances that get too big. I don't think it belongs in the game, though.
3. Injecting resources/cheap resources. Get rid of the MT market. Limit MT use to special bonuses that can't otherwise be obtained, but change their name and let them be earned instead of being freely distributed. For example, once the war system has been fixed, the winner of a war would receive them (in direct proportion to the ration of the winner's power versus the loser's). Ascending could also give one these special points, along with being in top 10 for a certain amount of time. Let a commander have the opportunity to award them to his officers who have increased their UP by a certain percentage within a given time frame. Be creative.
Und so weiter...

Good suggestions pookie. But i think nox should also be disabled but with a natural time lag of 1 second per attack

d. Miners can be raided on top of UU, but again, only when the defense is at 0
I'd make lifers untouchable that way someone is guaranteed an income at least.
Other than that i have to say that your suggestions are good!

Except that when a country's infrastructure is under attack, everything can suffer. That said, I wouldn't make lifer's raidable, but if the defense and attack are zero, a small percentage of lifers should be killable.

who ever did that long post (idc bout name)
a) whats the point?
b) No.
C) maybe'z have another attack type. requires more turnz to do that tho. say like 50 ATs per hit to mass the strike.
d) Just No.
e) dnt get itz
f) No.
so people who have invested 100s of trills of naq. will lose their investment. LOL
1 turn massing = fail K
2) hmm no. so you want people at 1b army++ who have infinite rescources. K
3) NO. Make Mt's more expensive.
whats the point. LMAO the CO can just award their officer with his own stuff. by sending it :S sigh

If you can't tell what the point is, I don't think you're in a position to critique.

Plus, I know that a lot of bigger players don't want these changes, because they're scared of losing out, but understand that the current system makes no sense. Drastic change IS necessary. In real warfare, everything is destroyable.
Also, about the 1bil army comment: if everything were destroyable in a war, it'd be very difficult to reach that amount. As I said, let the army size be regulated by opponents, not by an unnatural system. Furthermore, I'd appreciate rationale to any critique. It's easy to say "no". A bird can do it.

with effort and patience you can prosper in SGW, there are many tips to growing fast out there, capatalise on enough of them and you can even be great.
But the one thing, time, patience, effort, Money, or even cheating to get ahead wont give you is Competence. I have seem some utterly useless players in my time, who are so utterly useless all the time/patience/effort/money or cheats in the world would do abosuletly nothing for them.
I conclude, if you are competent you can succeed in SGW, grow from nothing into a respectable something. Other factors may help you there but competence is the key ingredient to succeeding in SGW.
..
Also a side note, SGW is about setting personal goals, enjoying this community, and having fun, if you goal is to get respect from the community / respect about your account stature well then this thread is relevant to you, but generally most people have other goals in mind, whether they be roleplaying as a mouse click happy numnuts who's only thought is "war game", or whether you your goals are to build the biggest shineist stats in the game, or whether your goal is to find love on SGW. I think it is more important that players old and new follow their personal goals, their is no need to "get a respectable account" unless that is what you want to do.

Making miners/lifers raidable? DAMN NO!
I think some people forgot how ascension was before the
SO CALLED bad updates. There was ONE group playing ascended, dominating it COMPLETLY (half of people were dormant in main, do you call this an activity boost?). Of course people who used to have this control want it back. Now it's not the big bad empires who can rule ascended as they used to, snipers kicked that one down (some people from empires became snipers to "catch up" heh). Sure snipers are annoying now, but it's still WAY BETTER than it used to be. You don't have to be in xy alliances to have a decent account in ascended.
Why do I mention ascended? Because in ascended it costs 0€ to grow. Different in main, you can buy troops. So imagine the "epic failness" of old ascended (that some people regret, probably forgetting true facts or former/current member of "dominating empires" thus nostalgia of former dictatorship) which was a free server. Include the €€ troops factor from main, and you will get a ground dropping (opposed to skyrocket lol) on activity and disappearance of €€ players, aka the game supporters. So game will die quite easily & quickly.
Just my 2 cents!

Good point. We would not want you to exhaust yourself in an attempt to come across like a person whose opinion we should care about. You are doing a great job at the opposite.

Because contrary to the intuitive merit of Agapooka's ideas and post, you are just another random uttering incoherent thoughts by means of an insufficient and ultimately inaccurate vocabulary.
Yet another waste of words on the plebes.

While I can understand the desire to be able to destroy everything on someone's account, there would be some serious issues should an empire decide to take control. An empire could come in, destroy everyone's accounts until they had nothing left on it... no miners, lifers, covert, AC, MS. After that happened, what would be the incentive for anyone to come back. Everyone would have a shell for an account and that empire could just crush any account that showed any signs of life. Yes the war would end, but so would the game. Very few people would return to playing this game should everything on their account be destroyed and have themself get sat on or be a farm for the remaining empire.
Something like this might be viable for the Quantum server where everything resets every 3 months, but for a game with no resets... it would basically devastate the game.
While the current system is severely flawed because wars can never end, at least people are still playing.
The only way I can see something change is to perhaps make it so you can only attack someone X number of times in a day... otherwise you MUST go to blood realm where I read that attack soldiers are destroyable. Battle it out for a week or so. When they come out, they cannot attack each other's accounts for x amount of time.
