technically speaking, as a chemist, the pharmacuetical definition of a drug is a substance which is used to enhance physical wellbeing

or as wiki says "a chemical substance used in the treatment, cure, prevention, or diagnosis of disease or used to otherwise enhance physical or mental well-being",

Alcohol doesn't fit this criteria, alcohol is, more accurately, a toxin

well, thats what university chemistry teaches

yes, technically, alcohol is a toxin... but its a mild toxin, and it makes people do funny things... (rather fun to watch and point out to them afterwards...)

alcohol is one of the nicer toxins people can choose to consume... (at least its not as annoying when people are drunk as when they are smoking...)

you obviously haven't been hit on by some drunk guy or had to clean up someone bodily waste (vomit, urine or faeces) when they are too pissed to care or even know where they are.

lol i havent had that much drink in ages,lol because i gotta drive everywhere... oh well

fortunately not yet... but it'll probably happen within the next year or so, seeing that we're often working as a guard when the student society serves alcohol... but thats life...

its those few that drink too much that go to that level... fortunately the majority doesnt... the majority tends to go to the level where nearly everything = fun...

in my experience, the majority of students drink to excess
