No, your partly ascended, like Anubis...
You need to choose a un-ascended race (one of the original 4), before being able to earn G&R again

You de-ascended... but only to daimon, then you re-named yourself to Ancient (this is what the game Admin Jason said)
You need to choose a basic race, from the race selection area. Not simply rename your race.

For the moment, can you try select one of the *NON-ASCENDED races from the top drop-down box, and see if it will let you, as i'm not sure how to get another race change as of the moment
