you truly do not want rule enforcement to be set in stone that way... it would be a dictatorship... we dont want to be dictators... it'll only make things a lot worse...

the variations in how things are handled are because the mods are not machines... they arent programmed to do things the exact same way... in the earliest days of these forums, a lot more things were punished, and a lot more users ended up permabanned...

see that's what i'm getting @. the mod wasn't wrong to give a full warning but my interpreation would be that it's a bit to hard for a user who hasn't given any problems in the past.

next time i mask i should get a full warning becausse i have gotten 1 verbal warning in the past (start-mid 2008) past for masking. but i mean i have nearly 2000 posts and slipped once, anyone can have that happen that doesn't mean they should get a full warning on sight.

alot also depends on the mood the mod is in @ that moment and they can hardly be blamed for being human. everyone has his own aproach to things

No Zeek.

My modding and the modding of every mod does NOT depend on our "mood".

It would be a disgrace if it did. I find it offensive that you post that in your "Official" colour as if it was a fact.

So your saying that no mod has ever modded when they were angry and never let it effect their work? I am sure that its done.

As for setting it in stone, a lot of members would be more comfortable if the mods had a better set of rules to go on. Things like this wouldn't come up.

I was not happy with it originally. I even made posts about it complaining about it getting removed. I wasn't that active at the time so I didn't bother to complain. I only posted this because it was suggested to do so.

Okay so if I may interject... what is the issue now? It was masking, agreed? He got warned... yes. So what is the problem?

after consulting with the admins and jim we can only say that there isn't enough support to turn it into a verbal one even if it's a first offence. ppl are taking masking ALOT more serious then in the past.

That statement is NOT accurate.

Mods have always warned for masked as stated in the rules (is-rule and no can-rule) sine the rules came into effect.

It was not different.

Guess someone decided not to enforce it :?

I think that it needs to be based on severity, not just one overall judgment. Also, first time offense should also come into play.
