Isn't there a complimentary PPT on Christmas? Aside from this, stifling one alliances attacks with a ransom payment is still not going to prevent anyone else in the server from handing you your defense in lots of tiny little pieces.

See; I pay Harch&consorts 1T naq in exchange for safety. Bebita, my old friend with the huge appetite for naq, comes around, masses me, and steals all mah monies. I still have nothing.
Should paying Harch&consorts protect me from the losses I would take if they or anyone else were to mass me.. then that might be a deal I would be interested in.
Either way, if I go and stay away for a long time, I'll just hit vacation..
