Random massing hard to describe i say would be massing some 1 who you have not had any hostile activity from including from their officers, CO and alliance if that makes sence

but ever since ME came into the game not so much large defs but certainly high number of spies and if a 1 mil def with 20 mil supers was around im sure a few people would like to eat it but, thats not random massing thats ME chasing.

Random massing is 6 of one and half a sozen of the other you can't prove or dis-prove it unless its admitted

as long as there be a logical explination then it's not random

but as we all come from different countrys our terminology is very different as it arys county to county town to town

What? If someone choose role of beeing masser for fun, than he should play solo, to a lonewolf. Or he can join a "Random massers" alliance so the rest of server will find these players easily.

I think, beeing a random masser in alliance is covardnes. Postin threads about 1v1 is useles, because everithing ends somwhere else.

I did few random massings in past, tryed it, tryed the taste. But didnt feel nothing special, just "i massed someone who cant even join the fight and fight back". Most of random massers feels the same, or dont feel it but the verdict is same. Massing random is massing for some reason, ME chasing, growing up someones ego, etc.

For random massings is no excuse.

Killtacular, what you wrote is prity low. Did you born because your parents planed it or it was random? Did i born cuse i was planned? Lets say, answer can be 50:50. RL is full of randoms and plans. But deciding to play a game, wich is based on fights, doesnt mean you chosed to play game like "terrorist". Many years ago, those who wanted to fight, simply asked someone or did something to him so there was a reason to fight. So we saw many wars. But coming in the middle of night and destroyng someone's town, house, was never popular. Therfor, this kind of random fighters were not liked and never acepted public.

Result: Random massings has no place in mature civilization. Beeing a random masser means choosing a path of naiv egomaniac.

Im designated a "random masser" (not by me) and I will tell you right now m8 I find the biggest guns around to mass...but in a general sense you are right.

well i like player like you that sometime pick a big guy for a fight. with big guy i mean a fighter not a big def chicken. its good for the game.
once ME was brought on the Random massing went in extinction.

Fresh rebuilt account, built defence (few trillions), account surender from war, recovering from looses, massed few hours after was rebuilt, while player was offline (he had very small strike so not a big gun). How can you call this kind of accounts "biggest guns"?

And for the rest, this player put thew account on vacation after you massed him and told me he quits. Asked me if i know someone, who wants to buy an account.

That is the real meaning of RANDOM MASSING dear Jedi Tank.

Another side, JMX is right, he do it because he can. Do not excuse random massers with finding some resons or excuses, random massers are massing random because:

1) They want
2) They can
3) It makes fun to destroy someons account even if he wont fight back
4) It gives some bonus to ME
5) Grows massers ego (wich is maybe to small for some reason i RL)

Your so full of it I think players that cry about masser being in alliances are cowards.

i think getting hung up on the meaninf of random massing is a pointless arguement.

what were basicly talking about is what some players find as an acceptible excuse to mass, and what others think is unacceptible.

for me it is,

repeated insults
repeated farming: alliance members/ officers

massing someone just to zero the stats just for the hell of it is something i would'nt do, if you want a fight, find somebody willing in the vendetta corner, i've only been back a short time but from what i can gather there are alot players out there willing to do 1 on 1's and so on

I classify random anything with schadenfreude as the pervailing motif.

Which is tbh bassically everything thats not rooted in personal animocity around here lol.



Is it acceptable? I suppose it is, by virtue of the game and by long standing practice.

i do it also for the E-Rep making me look kool

i do it because people moan at me for doing it

Random massing would be rolling dice for someone to mass.

hitting a guy because of alot of spies and def is not random. u are hitting them due to the silliness of those defs and spy counts that are in open.
