It has to go off the player, not the account. I think. Thats the whole idea!

The account has some bearing IMO, simply because it's easy to walk into a pre-built account rather than do it yourself.

Taking myself as an example, the account I got is/was considered good and belonged to someone who would waltz into the Old School category blindfolded but since I got the account (over 2 years back now) I've done significant amount of work on it to keep it as a good account.

that's why I think it's important to have something in there about the account and most based on the person.

Well as I said, I'm from pre-miner time and CF vs GA war happened like 1 year later? Lol I remember giving mercs to Lajh as he helped me a lot and needed them while they were hard to get in that war

Like Bucky said, I too think that the person is the old skool one, not account, although one could argue that only "real" old skool players by all definitions are the ones that played an era on Quantum called Old Skool Era, I believe I finished 7th that time :p

Old school remembers the TA/OoC war, the release of motherships, release of ascension, and the GA. I'd have to agree with buck, "old school" is more based upon person than account.

I remember pre- raiding?
I dont remember the release of MS but i do remember when it was a massive goal just to buy one

I remember flava getting raided for 800k uu and the game was like.. ZOMG!!!!!!! THE APOCALYPSE HAS COME!

I remember buying my USS for 30K UU.

This definition would put many who are considered "new school" in the old school group.

When I was raiding, everyone who had 30+ k uu in the open was a decent raid target. AT went for 15-16k uu per k

Funny times.

by my reckoning.... old school would be anywhere up until March 2006.

Out of curiousity, what do you use to arrive at that Semper?

And the so called "tok'ra bug" giving people free covert levels overnight once, resulting in top 5 being full of replicators.
