I like that, but I think it should be dependant wholly on rank. eg people in the top 100 have maxclicks*days^-1=0, second 100 have it =1, third 100 have it =2, and accordingly down the line. If the distribution was stepwise linear (as described above) it would be very difficult to abuse.
Note that this would require the abandoning of fractional people for clicking purposes (which I know is now being tracked for reasons unclear to me). (Ie use integral values of people for clicking purposes instead of doubles)
depending how many clicks are received might even actually speed things up considerably as a side effect and makes the game more interesting, as those on top have a long-term disadantage vs. those below (as opposed to short term disadvantages).
