naw the ratio sucks in ascended for the fact that there r large account that new players cant hit that are inactive. i would suggest the untradeable resorce of about 5 mil auto in lifers and 5k uu and 1k turns when u first login then for the first month if someone more than twice ur size hits u they lose half there attacking forces just for the first month( i know this will piss alot of old players of that like to pick on newbies).they should also automaticly get a message to that person to come on fourms and meet the community. then also have a group of people that dont mind teaching be informed that a new player has just signed up. and to introduce ur slef so that they get a better feel for the community and go from there.
ps and advertising for the game yeah there r number of free places that u can advertise but alot of places cost $$$$$ so we have to support the game to

The growth in ascended is exponential so you dont miss out on much anyway and you can catch up quite easily. It doesnt really matter for main, i have seen people start over and raid half way to the raid cap in a week, its really just knowing the game and finding time for it, for growth. Limiting the reach of who someone can attack will really be there for protection. Like i said anyway
But force it on active nooblets (someone who has logged on once in the last week or two)
So it leaves other people to farm inactives.
As for the rest

its not really worth while when there is more simpler solutions available, the 'help and rules' guide does need a clear overhaul now.
They should just get an auto message with the link to the forums as soon as they sign up anyway.
Its also quite clear that many people think starting resources should be adjusted. Something simple like 500 mill naq 500k units and 1k personal At's should suffice anyone really.

Ur missing the point if u have a limiter they would not be able to do that how many accounts have less than 1mil total army. and what ur talking about is the fact that they have boat loads of time to play the game i am more a casual gammer my slef so there is no way in hell i can do that this is one of those things ur damed if u do and ur damed if u dont

How about the admin sets aside say $1000 a year in advertising campaigns. Im sure that he makes more than that per year off the game, and plus the more people the better the chance of getting more money spenders. What do you say?

No im not missing the point, read the quote from myself that i used.
The actual limiter will contain and protect the new players to an extent, and those that are inactive, like the < 10 mill accounts or whatever the limiter is set to, will be raid-able and farm-able.

In all Honesty, the guys who spend the $, are the ones who have the fun.
Sorry, I took my money to WoW... For the 15E per month Ill rather play a game where your "Growth" is the same no matter the $, it has great Graphics, and the people who make the game, actually listen to what the users want.
If a huge company can make game updates that the people want, why cant Jason, sorry ive been a fan of this game for years, but its gone to **Filtered** :/ Unfortunately, instead of fixing problems, new updates come out that cause more problems, and just make the game even more crap in General.
Meh, back to getting my gearscore to 6k

:P

well while we are at it let the newbies just mass the hell out of the bigger accounts for all the sense u imply for the fact that when u say u can only hit "inactive" big accounts all u r doing is making it worse for the admin to put that in code and that is just plain dumb for the fact a new guy comes on here hits a large inactive account and wants to start to play with the big boys and relise that there is a message that says u are to small to hit this player then he relise that he just hit some one with twice the army size from the inactive account. the limiter is a bad idea in general we could go back and forth on this topic but it wont do any thing for the fact that what sol suggest is way to much to mess with the code for so little reward. hope it makes sense

as a start you wouldnt even need that much of a outlay, If you could do something like print of posters etc for the game for notice boards etc in unis/colleges even drop them into the games stores and ask to stick them up somewhere for some free advertising and even if it is just a few people the game gets its better than nothing like there is at the moment if its not done by word of mouth or liking of the series then im sure not many people come to look for it

No sense in wasting money for advertising or graphics if the game is in such a state that no sane newbie would take it on.
ATM it would take a newcomer a year of ascending non stop to catch up or at least get close to a level playing field. And that is a dream scenario cos we know that tempo is not sustainable when you hit the last third or so.
You need to address these issues first.
Meaning reversing the progression treadmill that got out of hand. That is rethinking ascensions and their bonuses OR providing another (separate) avenue of progression for nonascended accounts that makes them at least competitive, if not with a comparative advantage in a certain field.
Oh the old guard will groan no end, but that is going be an indicator of just how sincere this initiative is.
Are you willing to give things, big things, up for the high flying ideals? Cos I`ve heard a lot of noble sentiment along the years but when it comes to tangible ingame perks everyone is always after n1 and little else. These houses being the latest example of cliques monopolizing them at gunpoint, all the while shedding crocodile tears at the state of the game and community.
We willing to walk the walk this time or are we just talking the talk again people?
What is this new galactic council for, serious change talk, or how to repaint the ever greater bonuses we the "established players" are getting?
