latest firefox known vulnarability list ...
Thats quite a list there ......

You people are so biased with the idea of not liking bill gates and windows you just go with the crowd haha ....

There is just one operating system that tends to be somewhat safer, and thats mac os using the bsd jails systems ... just to bad its browser is annoying.

(mind you, any browser is better than IE.)

stupidity reeks indeed. ;)

Kit-Fox wrote:And the biggest difference is that the Mozilla folks publish any and all confirmed bugs & problems with Firefox and other browsers based on their framework as soon as possible

MS doesnt publish problems, it provides fixes to them on its timescale as & when it suits them.

Which means in case it passed you by that with say FF, you can try and fix the problem yourself or grab an addon that reduces your risk as soon as possible. With IE, you wont know about the bug until MS publishes a fix in most cases which means you could have been at risk for a significant amount of time

last I was aware Opera is similar, open and honest about its shortcomings so you can take action to counter it. simply put, this quote, sums up why anyone with an ounce of sensibility would opt for a 3rd party browser. some more than others of course.

“Every browser, every operating system, has its own vulnerabilities,” said Chaouki Bekrar, CEO of Vupen Security

Too bad Firefox and opera werent trialed there :D

Its the fact that money gets paid to people to try and hack their way into commercial browsers and OS's.
A devoted hacker took well over 2 months of programming to exploit a bug, which ofc is temporary.

Just wait till firefox becomes a commercial product, wanna bet most will flip mopzilla corp the finger too :D

hmm... so how is (6/4)>2?

It took the hacker six weeks to program a code that would give him 100% control of the target machine, not to break through its outer defenses...

this line of text is proof how easy it is to trick internet explorer, but it is not as if you can read it... not using IE...

The fact that you think firefox will become a commercial product reveals your ignorance...

Ever heard of the GNU General Public License?

if you wish to learn of the vulnerability of IE, look on paragraph three of this post... (thats the paragraph before "The fact ...")
