Jix, vulturing is usually taken as when someone deliberately targets an alliance that is in war, because they know their defences are low and it's easy naq. Some alliances take this more aggressively than others.

On topic:
Worst reason: "Your alliance leader failed a spy attempt (but no, we can't prove that at all.)"

Best reason: "Diplomacy failed, perhaps this will be a more effective discussion technique."

When I came back, it was always funnest to mass when someone would threaten me for farming them or their alliance. I'd call their bluff and they'd do nothing. Why would I wait for them to mass me since I sure as hell wasn't gonna stop farming them? So I'd just mass them and get it out of the way.

I also loved when JP wanted to mass with me. I zeroed the defense so she could get all the easy ME from the unarmed supers... of course she was bored because she wanted to do the massing and take down the motherships, but since I was the one funding us both... she didn't have much say. I had all the repair naq.

Another good reason is if their name is Roket or they're in FS. Always a good reason to mass them for that.

As for bad reasons, I always had to laugh at people that massed because they are defending someone's "honor". I always found it funny to use the word "honor" in a text based game.... and then they'd mass someone's alliance instead of the person who supposedly tarnished the "honor" in question. That whole concept is contradictory in itself.

The best reason for massing would be somebody who bad mouthed everyone you knew, massed everyone you knew, was a total and complete idiot with the biggest ego ever, and was a sniper.

The worst reason? Just because.

Best reason is when you don't have one. After all, it is a war game. Sometimes you mass and you get obliterated for it...

Worst reason and most frustrating is when someone says "You Know Why"...that annoys me...
