Updates, no updates..there is nothing happening to attract new players aside from the few that actually recruit in other forum areas....I dont think game updates is the answer to that, more of a help..VISUALS is what attracts, we need the visuals updated if anything..its fairly easy to get new people to register and check it out, but with the other games going that LOOK better they will be inclined to stick with one of those if at all.
VISUALS PEOPLE..GRAPHICS will work.
Finally someone agrees with me that visuals are something this game lacks, which would attract more people!

It's complicated to compete with games like Cityville, or some of those GameForge games, or even Travian.. The game needs to be built for them, and that's not really how it is at the moment.
Game would need a version 2.0 for actual visual updates of substance. A few minor pics here and there will not be more attractive. You'd need a rehaul of mechanics, rewrite the way the game works.. And in the process, you'd lose many of the current players. To change something as fundamental as that, would be catastrophic at this point. No harm in adding a few pictures here and there, but that won't suffice to attract new players.
Do agree it looks bland, but looks are not what we play this game for. imo

The look of the game and the others is what got me interested in the first place..The game is faiding whether you believe it or not and adjusting ascending and covert levels and then readjusting them so people can get at people without losing anything isnt gonna do it..as we are now every war, be it fun or hostile is the same group against the same group..we need new players for this to carry on and the way it is isnt even attractive enough to keep the current people.

Power will always gravitate towards power, be it as a reaction to it or as an attraction.
You will always, in a population comprised of people with equal means of power, but different levels of ability to use that power, see that three groups form. A group with power (example: DDE), a contra-group with power (example: FS, The Legion) and a group without power or the will to use it (example: HVE, Nemesis, ..).
This division, while wholly natural within the confines of the game, could be what leads to the feeling of striking the same ore vein every time. I imagine that gets tiresome pretty quickly, after fighting your 'opposing' powers at least once.
Heh.. interesting, but complicated stuff. I imagine Jason worries about this too.. or he has something else, of similar scale, lined up to take over as main business.
We could propose a few good updates with a decent business case.. not just game changes, I mean.

I must now farm DMU so i can make my account undescendable, for good hits i hit active ppl, which descend me. And so on (infinite loop)
In main, i farm and i get massed for farming those who have **Filtered** on silly amounts. So i build even a bigger strike and farm even bigger ammount. And i get zeroed again, sure i'm pissed i return the favor and farm again.
In the end its the infinite loop of a stale mate.
But i still play. I wonder why.

could the admin encourage/ motivate somehow the players to bring in new players with fresh accounts? or could he somehow block the players older than 6 month to hit fresh accounts under 6 month old for example?

Game is on the decline. The 'lets jump ship and get some money before I can't get any' attitude has long since sunk in, fortunately some of us were clever enough to stall/jump ship when it was still viable.
Gatewars is dead. Those left behind are one of 5 people I would think.
1. Those who can't let go.
They had a lot of fun here, a lot of positive feedback and in some cases put a lot of money and/or time into their accounts. When you work or invest in something that much I can say from experience it's very hard to walk away. These people are aware of the sinking ship but they're in that limbo between not wanting to/being unable to walk away.
2. Those who are still blind.
The people who cling to the edifices of a past that isn't there any more. With (for once) all due respect the leaders of the bigger ingame alliances or those who are desperately running to them for some semblance of the glory days of the server wars are the best examples of this. I'd say this was the most tragic case (i'd also say it's not 100% tuthful as not all leaders/examples above are such). These people believe the game is going to be saved or turned around.. and I wish for their naivety but I am blessed to be without it.
3. Those who don't care.
Spammers... They're like parasites. Where there's people they'll gather. As the people decrease so do they. They have accounts but ultimately they don't really play or care about the game and what it's done/is doing. They're community fiends. Or those who know it's going down (or don't but don't care either way).. but like on the Titanic they're just here to play us all out and do things the way they want for better or worse.
4. Those who accidentally wandered in/came back.
Big mistake. You spend a month here, now, coming from other games and you KNOW this is a withered husk on a life support machine. It could go any minute. Every second it get's closer and closer to that fine line where it no longer becomes a worth while thing for Jason and he flicks the lights out.
5. Those who are trying to get out.
They know it's going down the **Filtered** and they're trying to get on one of the those $$ life rafts. Shame that they generally all left about a year or so ago. I suppose the problem with these people is that they all decided this course of action at the same time even though it was already blatently obvious that the account market was crashed. I didn't thin diluting it would help the situation.....
I think that once again a very huge paradigm/attitude shift is in order of the game. People need to stop playing it like it's 2005-2007 (jumping into these massive super powers) and start partying like its december 30th 1999. There's no glory to be had now. No real respect to be earnt, the big guns are actually tiring and wars are (somehow) worse than they were two years back and trying only makes you a tosser to be honest.
I'd advise everyone that small alliance of 10 or so players and a strict policy of not attacking the younglings would be the best course of action. This would need backing up with a fast paced and dediated advertisement programme, series of new game updates, a more active admin and of course something to make people want to come here. However like with the past two massive changes that needed to be implimented in the game (which I, of course, accurately predicted long before they came) this one will probably occure a year or so after it's already too late if it's still here then.

The honest answer? **Filtered** no. Does it ever stop us? **Filtered** no.
This game gets worse with each update. I've seen maybe one or two that benefited this game, where the rest have crippled it forcing more money into Jason's wallet so the players can cope who do not farm.
Personally, the only reason I stay is for my friends. I made a promise and I intend to keep it as long as possible before this game evaporates into nothingness.
