Personally if i got bored and wanted to go to war i would actually go out and fight someone who would be somewhat of a challenge or atleast equal to me. But hey that just me i never got much joy out of throwing my weight around or acting tough by picking on easy targets.

Gah! Okay, I can't take that calibre of defense just quite yet, but. Soon. I think. If Juliette doesn't scold me too hard. Gotta answer to a boss lady now. Kinda intimidating if you ask me.
Though I don't think this war is going to quite go as you ( TC ) had planned.
Seems only about half the people approve. ' Because it's a war game ' only works for war mongerer's, not for fledgling brawlers.

You didn't mass their alliance. Or, quite possibly, the ranks haven't updated for me and thus it appears as though they weren't massed, somehow?

From what I have been told.. a true warmongerer doesn't care how many people approve or disapprove, as long as they can keep their game face on.

He might be, but I ain't.
Kasket was particularly vulnerable, but I wouldn't want to rob AA of all of their fun, I didn't break any defenses / kill any spies.
4,812,250 AC Killed
4,500,000 AC Killed
I've been trying to lower my lifer count for ages.
This was the first MS hit. Ouch is all I can say.
Imperial Slaughter uses its Energy Volley to inflict xxx,700,000,000 damage, destroying 2729 Energy Shields on Grave Digger!
Blowing through the extended shield defenses, it also destroyed 8604 Nuclear Volley, and totally destroyed 2,618 fleets!
Ouch. I didn't reset my temps, but ... that's a lot of parts. Pricey.
Next I checked Harry:
Imperial Slaughter uses its Energy Volley to inflict xxx,700,000,000 damage, destroying 0 Energy Shields on TARDIS!
Blowing through the extended shield defenses, it also destroyed 0 Nuclear Volley, and totally destroyed 1,498 fleets!
Oops? I would've eaten it all, however, Harry decided to move behind the Nox. Smart call on his part. That - And he and I served together once upon a time. I would've felt marginally bad if I did too much damage.
The other two had nothing, and I ain't ready for Eternity yet. >:3

P.S. Not getting paid.

*grin* So far, I LOVE what I am seeing. Great interaction, Paul, Haz.

You are a bit unfair juliette. Everyone fights the best way they can,so if they need mercs to do it,in my book its just one more tactic you can use to fight the enemy. It was done before.
On the side note,I doubt they have the naq to pay for something like that, but than again you never know..
And there are always big peeps hungry for naq and more ME,so you never know...
Anyway have fun all.

Agreed, you could see it as unfair. Speaking from the point of view of the aggressors though, this use of an otherwise legitimate tactic can be read as motivation to proceed with the complete destruction of the alliance. You are right when it comes to funds, probably.. they'll need pro deo warriors.
I think fun is the basic motivation for Haz&co, as it is for all of us. These guys were massing AGES ago, you remember them, Gabriel.

They play as though time stood still. I like it.

I got bored and I massed him. I didnt declare war on him. It escalated to such.

The original massing was for fun, the war was because of these messages.
Message text:
Why on earth, did you mass me? I have done nothing to you!
I told him I was bored and asked if I really needed a reason...
Yes you do need a reason! In every alliance I have ever encountered, there has been the rule of \'No Random Massing\'! Whether it\'s my alliance, The Ascended Assembly, or the most powerful alliance in the whole game, The Legion! What you did to me was absolutely unfair and mean. I am as peacefull a player as you\'ll ever meet in this game and I don\'t like to be at war. I am trying to grow my account and that is almost impossible during war. You cost my account a couple of trillion naq worth of damage and that was totally uncalled for. Now me and my alliance have to hold a conference to decide what we will do. I\'m not looking for a war but I guess you are. I would prefer to remain civil for as long as possible and ingage in a war only if absolutely nessessary. What are your thoughts?
I didn't exactly like the assumption made of me, but laughed at his "a couple of trillion naq" comment... so decided to calculate how much it would have cost him to get everything he lost back
I replied:
Firstly, trillions of naq?
262,649,133,600 for weapons
14,198,366,000 to train units
109,218,200,000 to buy the untrained units at current market rate
356,220,000 to buy mercs
Total cost: 386,421,919,600 Naq
Secondly, No Massing Rule? Direct quote from the leader of The Corporation
(~Paul) first rule of the corporation: Eternity is god
(~Paul) 2nd Rule: There are no other rules
Thirdly, this is Gate*wars*

Feel free to have a conference... and decide what you want to do with me... and Eternity and Lebanite.
"Now me and my alliance have to hold a conference to decide what we will do" == payback? I decided to get a preemptive strike, and Lebanite and Paul wished to help.
