Please do not group all Moderators in the same basket as not all Moderators have control over every bit of the forums. I have no influence whatsoever in Misc, not that I'd want it anyway.

I think people need to calm down and discuss this rather than get tempered and moan.

Yes it was, then unlocked. May I ask what the point of that comment was?

I quite like being a MIsc Mod, and it was a shock to see this thread instead of a PM. Certain things do not need to be posted publicly to be taken care of, because this thread did nothing but create tension and resentment between anyone who read or posted in it.
Clarkey wrote:Please don't troll this thread. I am trying to speak with JT about this whole issue.
I ask that you please do that via PM and let this thread rest.

If anyone wishes to speak to me regarding the threads in the Misc section, or my decisions, I will gladly discuss them via PM. The threads in question have been dumped and the reports closed.

Let's just be real here ... lol. You would interpret the letter of the law on the forums here to see talking about using Drugs as being against the rules, because it's an illegal activity. If would rather follow the spirit of the law, or a combination of the two, you would realize that cracking down on people talking about drugs (that may or may not be illegal) would simply be asinine.

They're not druggies talking about shooting up between their toes, they're just people on here to have fun and joke around. What would be the point in depriving them of a good time at the expense of no one? Do tell.

d. Pornographic and criminal content.
Posting anything of a pornographic nature is not permitted on the SGW forums. Pornographic being defined as: Sexually explicit pictures, writing, or other material whose primary purpose is to cause sexual arousal (dictionary.com). The SGW forums are not the place for discussing or facilitating criminal activity. This includes arranging to carry out a crime or the posting of illegal images (including copyrighted property).

Considering people were talking about them in a positive manner, I would say it is encouraging...

Think you know as well as I do that crack is as illegal in canada as it is anywhere else.
-.-"

but, that's really not the point of this thread, to pick through the spam temple finding all the little things that mods said that don't particularly hurt one's own feelings, but may offend others.

I have an idea.. If you don't like what you're reading.. read elsewhere. I know as mods we are supposed to behave in a professional manner, but the spam temple is there for those of us (mods included) who wish to spam. If you're not interested in spamming, then don't go there. If you'd look past the blue green and orange names you might see that there are a multitude of equally questionable posts made by others. If you see something you don't like.. or think is crossing a boundary, there's a wonderful button to report a post. I'm not advocating mods or regular members talking about drugs.. but if it doesn't hurt anyone, what's the harm in it, and as I said, if it offends you personally.. there is a report button. And I know you may think we are behaving badly, but if we went halfway as hard on the regular public's posts, as you guys go on ours. There would be WAY more warnings and WAY more posts deleted/dumped/edited.

Amusing beyond that is the same people are complaining are some of the same culprits of posting offtopic/offensive/insulting replies.

Actually jack, it'd only be Femme here... In Nostra's home nation, weed is not illegal.

anyways...

That is a very sensible post, Z E R O...
