Nice car KJ, I quite like Subarus. Hell, and a gorgeous dog too. I'm a little jealous.

Mezz, I'd go for the honda, but the othero one is probably more practical. It really depends on what you'd be needing out of it.

Yeah I want the Honda, diff is

Honda

1.5 highly revved high petrol costs
Road Tax £160
Insurance quote £580
16 years old, 90K on clock, no service history, bound to have been owned by boy racers = going to be high maintenance

Seat

1.2 Low petrol costs
Road Tax £110
Insurance £285
Full S/History, only 50K on clock, not a boy racer car

Every practical and financial comparison says buy the Seat, but the Honda is just Soooooo damn pretty lol

ive had a few cars in the past 5 years but insurance in the UK is a killer.

i stareted with a mk4 golf, 1.4 petrol which was a good first car. moved onto a few other VW's then onto a BMW 320 coupe, then onto a e320 CDI which i had to sell cos my insurance went up to about £3000 this year whcih takes the piss.

I want another BMW next. something like a 1 series maybe, ecoonomical. or a 123d whcih is a beats and still economical :smt047

Death to the Insurance companies..................... and the road tax people

Mate of mine has a C2 diesel and pays just £20 pa road tax, road tax renewal on my Mk2 Golf is £215

Apparently this is because of CO2 emissions, only my work commute is 10 miles per day, his is 120 miles per day, so tell me how I kill more tree's ???? Bloody stupid politicians trying to push old cars off the road. They say we should scrap old cars and buy new efficient enviro-friendly ones, but how much pollution comes from making these new cars with all their metals, plastics, electronics & fibreglass ?? It's all BS !!!

As for the insurance companies they recon the increase is due to injury claims, have you seen their profits ???? Hundreds of Mills pa. More BS !!!

Driving in the UK sucks, 10 years from now driving will only be for the rich, the poor and average earners will be forced off the road by costs.
