I guess, in light of reading this thread, it'd be trivial to complain about a few covert levels I want back JOKE! But seriously...

I'm happy that the game is coming back online and sympathise with your position, Diamond Dust, particularly with reference to how such things as ascension etc., may impinge on real world meanderings. Though I think Jason made clear that "lost" resources etc., other than cash market, will be replaced, perhaps the easiest thing would be to ask him yourself. One needn't express too much shock if the answer isn't to one's liking however.

Technically these aren't "lost" resources because you never had them during the downtime in the first place. Lets just be happy the game is coming back.

Yes, I think the run of my post expressed as much. I was just indicating sympathy with DD and taking it from his point of view. Ask for the GnR if it means that much to you, or don't.

Anyway, as I said, I'm happy the game is back (almost).

Sympathise with DD? The fact he said people that are a week away from ascending shows that it's a personal request. I wonder if he would have made this request on behalf of all those ascending if he were not ascending himself?

Quick Edit: Clarkey, I didn't say I was a week away from ascension at all by the way.

Let's leave the issue at that though shall we guys? It was a request for the notion to be considered and by no means a rampage, campaign, angry-fest or rant at adminstration. I suppose it can ultimately only be answered by administration too so it's pointless people getting their knickers in a twist about it.

I am amused at the surprise Clarkey expresses at the phrase "sympathise with DD". *grin*

I wasn't really threatening to quit, it was more a statement that people lose interest. The fact that Jason is bothering to go to the effort of updating his servers clearly means he wants to keep the game going. FREE games survive and are profitable from people playing them and putting up with a few ad's.
