Though not so much a problem in the English language, the problem that annoys us is when people divide up words that should not be split up. Like writing "wheel chair" instead of "wheelchair".

we're also annoyed at all those silly people speaking/writing in the ways of the former colony known as Britain and all those completely unnecessary uses of the letter "u". Its overly complex and does not add flavor to the text... (we dont mind their use of "bloody" in every sentence though... that adds flavor...)

*grins at the British in this thread*

Yes. They come with unreasoned arguments, attacking reasonable words and phrases that they cannot understand.

They also show a considerable lack of understanding of the English language, often to the point of incoherent sentences filled with errors in grammar and spelling. Most annoying to encounter.

The nation currently known as "great britain" started out (in semi-recent days) as a colony. There is no denying that. Before that, it was populated by primitive populations. The most prominent part of England's era as a colony, is the time between around 790 CE and 1066 CE when it was a viking colony.

You adding more "fail" by using grammar fails that weren't mentioned in the OP?
