Well, I don't how accurate my statement is, I believe that us what I've read. But I've put over 25 hours into it and haven't even touched any of the guild quests yet.

I would make the obvious statement and say that things are significantly shorter (and less fun) if you fast travel everywhere after you have been there.
Me, I like to walk. Interesting things happens when you do.

In short, you were not even at a quarter of the game before quitting. ;)

yea i did that, quickest way to level up smithing, you make a loss in gold when selling the daggers but it levels you up very quickly

Another skill you can upgrade really quickly is lockpicking (buy a lot of picks, find an expert/master lock and start picking), enchanting (collect differently enchanted apparel, jewelry and weapons, and break them down to learn their enchantments), and alchemy (eat everything you see and make all combinations of ingredients). Killing wildlife with a bow (for instance) is a good way to raise archery, and attacking a dragon with a very weak weapon (two/one handed) and a hell of a lot of potions (to survive while you get a LOT of hits in to level up your one/two handed) works as well. The latter is ill-advised, since it does tend to kill you, but when you time it right, you have a great way to level up. :D

It is a very immersive game. :-D

Invest in magical wards if you want to get up close and club the enemy to death. You should be able to buy a tome if you follow whatshisface after you leave Helgen at the start. Book is a 1.5k gold though, so you might want to save up a little. They cost a bit to keep up, but greatly reduce the effectiveness of an enemy mage's magic attacks.
Alternatively, it might be good to know that a bow (if you know how to use it) has a better range than a mage's attacks. ;)

Something most funny. I encountered Auri-el, and a book/quest for the Lost Legends. (Auriel was one of my names here, and Lost Legends an alliance of mine and Angnoch.) I was amused.
