But threads like this are such fun. Normal threads are so boring and mundane.Julietta Putina wrote:*grin* That is not true either. Like Main, NG shows the ID on the stats page, and has never not shown them. (Except in aforementioned cases where browsers do not show attributes of any page unless you click on the address bar. My Opera, for instance, shows this page as: http://talk.gatewa.rs/posting.php When I click on the address bar, and when I have the page open in Firefox, it shows as: http://talk.gatewa.rs/posting.php?mode=quote&f=101&p=2395346 You see where this goes.)Clarkey wrote:I didn't react like it's a fact. Maybe you should get your facts right. My comments were all pointing towards the fact that Newgrounds don't show IDs as that's what i've been told. At no point did I claim that they were being removed from Main, unless you'd like to point out where i did claim it was a fact.Stuart Gordon wrote:I'd have to agree, cherub. Making a thread speculating about something is fine. Shouldn't present it as something admin's working on though, if you don't know that he's. It confuses people. See Clarkey, reacts like it's a fact. It's not.
In any case. Someone saw something they thought was something worth mentioning, and they created a good story around that thing. Disregarding the fact that no one else confirms seeing it, it is a good tale. Had it been true, it would not have been a singularly bad thing. In fact, there is much to say for it. However, given that it is just something someone thinks they saw, and not something that is actually something real, other than a glitch.. there is nothing here.
Ashu, you are to be commended for creating what appears to be a reasonable background to an otherwise insignificant glitch. ID's are not going anywhere.
*chuckles* Also. What a thread. It is like talking about a supercharged Higgs-boson. Might have seen it, might not. Might exist, might not. Except in this case, it does not.
Another thing. Phil, stick to single line replies and a decent attitude.. or I will make you revise Best's datacenter safety procedures on New Years Eve. (jaf)
