Varies from person to person, many cant play due to RL in this time, but others are most active in work/school/Uni holidays.

A holiday game server-wide PPT would benefit one group and annoy the hell out of the other group.

Best to just let everyone decide for themselves, time PPTs well or use vacation mode

Want to show good will for others on Christmas? Leave some naq out for farmers and spend the day with your family. It'l be a whole lot easier than some form of peace...albeit being exactly what most do every day anyway.

I think I will declare a war on the 25th...

Or even better than that, spend the time with family but being on PPT.

It's easy enough to stop all forms of attack without ppt, but its a pretty terrible reason (and probably why admin decided to stop giving out the ppt's). Plus you all have the ability to vac, and the ability to gain 4 days of ppts. Then again admin can do as he pleases...

It's not a matter of religion, I know that outside of Christians, many Muslims and non Christians celebrate it in my country (even though radical Muslims scream it's blasphemous for a Muslim to celebrate it, but since when should their opinion be followed?).

People often forget Christmas is both secular (Santa Claus and the gifts industry) and religious (Jesus and the Three Kings). So the argument about it being strictly a religious holiday is INVALID.

The popular "christmas" origin is through Christianity.
The current over marketed over Incorporated media infused money pit that is the christmas season is not based on religion. Society has evolved the holiday into something more than just a christian celebration.

A celebration mind you, that was copied from the pagans.

You make it sound like pagans are/were not religious. They have their own gods/goddesses they worship(ed) during this season.

Also, despite Christmas being nothing more than a mass marketing ploy each year, it does stem from the same religions and religious traditions which exist during this time of year.

The difference is that many people in modern society do not recognize this association and freely "celebrate" Christmas without attributing any kind of religious attachment/affiliation to their celebrations.

Let's be fair; Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years when you don't have family (and sometimes when you do) to deal with are nothing more than an excuse to buy all the things you want cheap and drink a lot of liquor.
