The first-gen sigs were rather good. hard to beat the style on them.

Maybe to inspire the sigmakers who donate their time and talent into making possible award sigs, we should have some kind of Award Sigs of Years Past thread.

It would provide ideas each year to those creating the sigs, and provide a form of recognition for the users whose sigs are selected by the Award Staff to be used by the winners. The thread could be linked each year when the Award Staff announce/make the request for award sigs.

Hard to beat the style? Pretty plain looking to me.

and since when is plain bad? Its better with a good-quality plain job than a poor-quality work that overflows with special tools and effects to cover up its lacks.

The "Awards sigs of the past" piling isn't a bad idea, though it might be difficult to find all the different sig models used.

I would have entered something for an awards sig, but I HATE making sg related sigs, which i imagine is the theme most would look for in an awards sig for this game

in that case....
go find 1 of a million sig PSD's on the interwebz and use it for the awards, more range to choose from

I would quite happily fullfill requests of those who won awards to their own specifiations.

also can we have worst mod of the year? Seeing as there are many polar opposite awards, and i'm pretty sure the mods wouldn't break down if any of them won.

Why not try thinking of something that means something to people in the awards rather than thinking of an easy opportunity at a failed attempt to try and humiliate and laugh at people?

Sure, but we don't have a worst player or worst diplomat award, so why is it necessary to have a worst mod award? The only thing I think that award will do is stir up unnecessary drama on the forum. It will in no way improve the annual awards.
