Dont be lazy, its not the admins or forum mods responsibility to remind people that an admin meet is in progress, its there if u want to go to it, the admin sets time aside for the most part to be there. IF you dont show up, obviously your problem ISNT THAT SIGNIFICANT. However for the people in different time zones I dont know what to say about that, there is no resolution in my option, just try to get into one i suppose.

You can't forget though, not all users go on the forums, they don't all know of its existence, when it is, or how to get it working (which is turning into more of an artform now since it trips up 40% of the time).

That's commonly just the user needing to install Java to get the chat working.

Of course, but there is hardly a readily available guide. I guarantee about 50% of the forum community wouldn't know what java is.

I think there is a guide somewhere in the IRC section, if not, I'll make one :D

The section in the forum, the very same forum i mentioned above about not all users go to the forum? In fact quite a large chunk wouldnt.

I can link them to it here :D Or if admin were to agree, I can write a tutorial for java, which can then be linked to in the suggested notification for meetings :D

Also, while there isn't a java tutorial, there is one for mIRC right here (warning to low bandwidth users).

Made in 2008, although still looks legible...that's still void from the first problem :P, although given special mention in the in-game notice...it could work out..

Also, just found out the chat isn't run on Java anymore, just Flash, so all you need to do is Image and install it and it should work perfectly. If not, get a new computer :P

why doesnt admin visit the forum section of Game suggestions?????

how could ppl put up suggestion in a chat where everyone says his own, unless whispering in private but that not the way.

That's my time, which is less than 24 hours ago. I highly doubt what you said about him not visiting. And he's made 3 different threads in the past month.

Also, the best idea is to flesh out ideas on the forum, then get someone who supports it, to put the thread to him at the meet. This avoids trying to discuss and develop an update in 30 minutes, and allows Admin to look at the thread when he has time, and consider the implications

So we have time to put a notice up for this but we can't get a notice for the weekly meets?
c'mon... :P
Good point, thought the same. :P

Why wouldn't he?
There is literally no con to it.
Its simply a notice to make more people aware he wants to talk to them.

Maybe he doesn't want to talk to a bunch of people?
If someone has suggested it to him more than one time as you say then he probably doesn't want to do it, or just forgets.

then perhaps he should say it so people stop re-suggesting it.
if he is forgetting, then this bump should help fix it... no?

So, c'mon J!
Either tell us no or do it already :P

Wait wait wait, after telling me BMMJ can't be expected to see the most active threads - and mod them even slightly - for ascended during the last tournament in his own sections (as the mods tended to not show up), you expect AJ to see every active suggestion thread spanned across all of his games?
By now though everyone knows AJ tends not to say 'no' to every suggestion he doesn't want to do, I don't recall any time he actually directly has said that  ... I'll ask him if he wants to do it anyway he may have just forgotten or was otherwise busy when it was suggested.

Visit IRC. When it is not occurring, you will see. [-X
