LOL!
I remember the date from some French made program by the Nostradamas society/museum (can't remember). the date of 35hundred sometime is what they gave...
But who knows what the man said since everything he wrote was so cryptic to escape being burned at the stake...maybe it's the modern Nostradamas scholar whose messed up the dates lol

According to some reading I just did, one of people's best guesses for Nostradamus' end date is year 3797...
Nobody knows though, as he does not explicitly state a date, like in some of his other predictions.

I must admit, i'm no bible expert (

). while i think it is an amazing book that chronicles much of human history, i don't think it is the word of "G"od (that book is said to be the word of God...correct?).

Much of human history?
It chronicles the 'epic adventures' of a small tribe from the mythical 'Creation' to its beginning (Patriarchs) through wars (Egypt, Barbarians, Assyria, Babylon, Persia), famine, death, civil war and unification, exile and return, and again exile.. while yes, an epic tale, it concerns at most a million people around the time the first part (Old Testament) ends. Then it zooms in on one person (Christ), whose actions set in motion the creation of a whole 'new tribe' (Christianity), which will go through the same trials as Israel went through in the first part. Interestingly before that happens, the second part ends, but alludes to 'the Third Part', when the tribe's king comes back and makes everything right. (Of course those allusions are covered in myth, legend and borrows heavily from the Egyptian, Persian and Greek 'hero' models; not to mention the necessary cryptic language so as not to be 'a fool' when things go a little different. Nothing shakes your faith like explicit prophecies going wrong, so any good priest or soothsayer avoids those like the Plague.)
Hardly 'much of human history'. It is, though, a nice piece of propaganda (whether by God - interesting idea - or by Israel's priest caste and later Catholic writers - realistic idea) with a decent enough set of morals for a certain era.
As time and society are dynamic, so should we be, though. Dogmas and institutionalisation of religion serves less and less purpose.. who is to say that at some point it will not pop up again, but in this day and age, critical thinking flies the Jolly Roger on all Seven Seas. For better or worse.. because the majority of people are **Filtered** tards who think they think critically, but instead play Salty the Pirate Parrot to lobbyists and other tricksters.

The ancient Maya did not predict the end of the world or any disaster in December 2012. Such doomsday predictions are a modern hoax.
The Maya calendar, which is made up different cycles of day counts, does not end this year. Rather, one cycle of 144,000 days (394 years) ends and the next cycle begins.

I wouldn't stick around all day waiting for it to happen KMA. Afterall, the Mayan Calandar is based on days and not time
Could be anytime in the next 24 hours or so
You know what would be funny though, if suddenly we had the 15 minute warning of a nuclear strike or something...created by the panic that we have ourselves insued...
I call it some sort of Goverment ploy, for us to kill each other off

there's still time...
