I think by his offering to you to make the rules, it was implied that that he would have to agree to them too.
A 1 week vendetta is nothing. 4 of those 7 days can be spent on ppt or longer if timed properly.
Are you trying to push this to become larger than a vendetta or just being plain unreasonable/illogical.
There are very few that would accept 1 week vendetta to solve an issue, just a thought mind uou...

7 days with turn change gives the vendetta only few hours of massing. Unacceptable for my side. 14 days is absolutely minimum. But in this period he must show something.
