M/S's take damage, and usually, even if they are massively stronger they still get hit hard, often the stronger the worse damage it takes.

If the attacking mothership looses defence in an attack, what if I sell of my attackweps for my soldiers and hit someone that have a good defence and a strong mothership...

Wouldn´t that solve the problem?

My MS defence would get smashed by the other ms retalliation?

What I meant was that I have no attack/strike action on the mothership, I have only purchased Defence, then when I saw what happened with my rank I stopped buying shields. I never got to buy any strike so I don´t think that my MS can hurt anyone if not shields can hurt an attacking MS?

Correct, Shields do no damage.
Really all they do is protect your Motherships weapons and absorb fire.
So yes, you could easily 'self-mass' your M/S

This ranking penealty must be enormous!

I tryed to attack you and another "big gun" tryed to attack me.. 0 shields destroyed in both attempts.. I don´t get this.. I have an invincible mothership!?

That is... odd...

You may want to post in the suggestions forum to get that changed.
Protecting the investments of n00bs is one thing... but the ability to suck up billions worth of the enemy attack with nothing to pay for it...
