One problem, the replicators souldnt be allowed to ascend. Why, because its not a life form. Thus cant ascend. How is metal organic??? It doesnt have a soul, its runs off a program its brain is a hard drive. Its impossible for a machine to ascend.

You replicaters are made out of what you eat. You eat Titanium you become titanium. You eat greesy american mcdonalds hamburgers and you become fat and greesy.

in this game they can ascend we are not here to discuss should they be allowed to ascend because they can, and in stargate, there is no 'soul' its the lifeorce which is energy which at the end of the day will be present in replicators, how do you defien life, in sci-fi ? you cant really anything that is sentient, replicators have a conciousness, and moves with self cause is usually callses as alive, and how do you define organic?, metal is a natural accurance...The ascended dont even have a phisical form they are not organic

A more advanced for of rpelicaotr is an Asuran therfore we should eb called that, not simply Titanium replicators , a Trinium replicator would be more advanced

so there're 2 things here: the series we all love and the game based on this series.
if you remember to the end of season8 (i refer to The Reckoning part2) where replicarter kidnap the deascended daniel jackson.

they have a convo there about knowledge and ascension. in this conversation rc shows off her/its true power etc.
then comes the most important sentence when d explains to rc that not matter how huge will be her knowledge and the number of the replicator
army, they'll still be machines with a program code...and even if they rule the whole galaxy or even the whole universe they still won't be able to do ONE thing...yes, it's a "complete understanding of the universe" when you can leave your shell behind and live as pure energy..

convo after rc was quit reading d's mind...(the reckoning part2, from 23:36 sec in the dvd)

d: "can't handle it can you?"
rc: "i... can....i just need time to process...share it with the others"

d: "but the universe is infinite..not just numbers and information but understanding on a level you'll never reach"
rc: "why do you think that?"
d: "because you're a machine"
rc: "so are you... just of weaker construction"
d: "and that's where you're wrong"
rc: "we'll see"

convo ends, scene back to CMC where replicators are attacking...

my opinion about this convo...in the series (real life) i prefer daniel's thoughts that humans and living beings are have something that a machene don't. but it could be a trick too...d tries to baffle rc about ascension...to protect the ancients or earth whatever he wants to.

in the game i prefer the other version, so replicators can ascend... for eg. they simulate the human organs...all of them..

and because this thread is about the poll i say wait a few more month before decide...you can't know right now wether you want their name or not...(for eg. too good personality compared to the replies.

1. as i said before, what ascendeds is energy, regardless of physical body
2. as replicarter said, humans are machines, just because they are built differently doesnt mean to say that, it is the only thing that can possibly live, and the human brain needs time to 'process' information just like a replicater.

Right, now tha the formalities are out of the way.

They Asuran are not Ascended Replicators though are they? Merely entities composed of Nanite-like blocks (much like Human Forms). Some of them have aspirations for Ascension though.

I've grown quite fond of the name NanoTiMaster as time has gone by. There's a certain finality to it. Still, I can certainly see where you are coming from...

when did you see in SG-1 or Atlantis that acient are asgard?

ailm, man.. chill out. all caps is kind of offensive to some people. but yea, im not an ascended replicator, but asuran definitely is cooler than nanotimaster.
