I voted for making main/ascended vacation modes the same. That way, if you actually do need vacation mode (like if you're going on vacation) you can without your account being nibbled to bits in the mean time.

At the same time this will keep people from being able to burry their ascended accounts permanently in the sand, as if they do they can't play main either.

I gotta say, this is one of the best idea's i've seen. If ppl really want to go on vacation mode then it makes life easier (only doin it once for both servers), and it stops ppl abusing vacation mode (or they suffer the consequences for abusing it).

say your massed in ascension, you want to go on vac just to let things die down, why do you shouldnt you be allowed to play main as well?

good idea tho it might be enough to raise the minimum vac time to bout 7 days (and maybe an decreased explore/LF regeneration for a fw days afterwards) this way ppl would think twice bout hitting it.

Maybe we should wait till we actually know how hard/easy it will be to descend someone if it gets too easy everybody will go on vacation mode .......... else it doesnt really matter if they go in vacation mode or not because there account is worthless anyway if they never play..........

Main and ascension accounts linked together would be great with regards to vacation mode

I hate ppl that hide on vaction so there should be a limit of time for vaction before the (ascended atleast) account is automatically re-activated

Ascension is a privaledge. it shouldnt be abused just for the main server bonuses (get the bonuses then put ascended account on permenant vacation)

Some people dont have time to build up a ascended account, fine. i understand. i dont have time to play main, ascension, chaos and quantum, so i dont play quantum...

but, if all ppl are worried about is de-ascension then base the ability to de-ascend a player on influence power.

Established ascendeds find it hard to deascend inactive accounts

disadvantage
Newly ascended accounts can reasonably de-ascend a inactive account.

either way, i dont want ppl hiding from de-ascension just by hiding on vacation (sorry to go off topic)

the only problem I have is with the linking is that in main if you are away for the weekend you can just go on ppt but in ascention their is nothing like this so you would be forced to give up your income in main just because they are linked.
