to be honest i dont thik these 'major' players are going to waste their time decending smaller players for the pure fun of it ... :S

also eventually there will be no one left right...so they will fight amongst themselves decned each other , then they wont have time to fight the smaller players they will be to worried about each other decinding them

everything has a way of blancing itself out

It'll probably also require the removal of all physical defences before the "god" themselves can be assaulted.

As for people attacking others I see no issue with making the odd attacks, massing someone (annoying as it is when you're the victim of such) who either has in some way provoked it or is at least capable of putting up a reasonable defence, but decending should be reserved as a last resort for someone who really deserves it.

yes forum did state that physical defenses had to be removed first. however he didn't mention whether it is just defense or also includes spy and assasin planets, or possibly even strike too.

i would believe defense and [spy and/or assassin] would be required too ^_^

Nah, then it would be impossiable to decend someone, Just defense most likely, that is what would make the most sense, without a defense who or what is going to stop the god attack from reaching the opposing god?

Personally, I would like to reach a diplomatic solution on the matter, but I've found out that would not be reached, seeing as you would never repay anything...Neither would I have done if I were raiding around of course. But still my friends are mad. That is now your problem. Remember that.

But see Su, even though you raided me and obliterated my defence, I have restrained from setting you at war. That is due to what my stance to you were before the raiding, not because you might think I'm afraid of omega or something like that. Remember that aswell Su.

I will probably be amongst first descended for posting this, but i'll do it anyway :
Well, I am one of the smaller players, but i think this rule is a bad idea, i mean then nobody would dare to descend nobody(there'll be exceptions ofcourse) ingeneraly. So then this feature will be almost meaningless. Listen Forum said that the person's phisical realm defense(and probably covert too) will hav to be 0 before decending step, so it'll be very expensive for someone to descend somebody, so i think nobody will do that just for fun, also u can always get a higher def., covert. This feature will be designed for the purose of making ascended server more active, with this risk players will hav to be active, besides inactive players are lower ranked so if u souldn't descend them there really is no point (cause there will probably be a time limit before new player can be descended) so this rule would only support the inactive players.

Brainwave. Make the final Descending "push" like Raiding. As in, you can only Descend someone who is within XY of your rank (or something similar). Reasons being honour, arrogance, and so on, depending on race.

Or, on the other hand, it could not be like that.

This would be hard to implement since in order to descend someone you first need to remove their physical defenses which would put their rank way back and then make it impossible to descend. all that would do is force those doing the descension to sell everything to match the rank and finish the descension.

Or you have to have someone help you with Descending others. A sort of "it takes more than one" effect.

Think about it - in the show a single Ascended being cannot (normally) defeat another (Anubis vs Oma) - it takes "the others" to step in and overpower the individual.

I believe generally this will in fact be the case. you would need a really heafty god strike and lots of life force yourself to descend someone by yourself. Particularly since turns are realatively rare.

Well....I think that if there's going to be a big problem with players decending people for fun or their own amusement, Forum would just do-away with the whole thing.
