Perhaps it is you guys that need to alter the contrast/colour settings of your monitors, because I can see it perfectly on my monitor and on my mobile phone display.

Yep - can see it on mine (couldn't see the old one.)

I (and most probably many others) beg you to stop doing updates before asking players about their opinion. before releasing an update make a poll and wait for a week to see the results.
it's not that hard and you will do many people a huge favor but most probably will manage to save this game. since thanks to some updates and your lack of communication ot the players there are many people leaving and even more thinking about leaving shortly

including myself...

I think that admin should set up a list of beta testers for every update... each with diff hardware/comp types/ os assuring that each update doesn't screw someone over...

But then people will always complain that they weren't involved with the testing - so unless everyone is involved in the testing there is always the potential for someone to complain.

Additionally - while I agree that big updates should be preannounced, I do not believe all of them should be, especially not ones such as this, but updates on teh scale of planets should be. Announce everything and you take away some of the fun!

Login codes are for security reasons anyway, not only do I think they should not be anounced, I think players should have absolutly no say in whether they should be there or not. (apart from if it actualy stops them logging in)

haha my point is there should be beta testers... don't make it public info... but make some... if its public then people complain... if only 20 people out of 4k know about it... thats fine by me ^_^

the only reason for the email is i thought the phones could not see images :)

Depends on the phone and the browser. Mine runs on Windows PocketPC, and works as you'd imagine same way as IE on a normal PC ('cept I got a little touch screen and a stylus :P). Not sure about Mr Wolf359's phone - what is yours?

I found the new code kinda alarming at first, but meh. I don't use a mobile to access the site, never have.

But if the new code actually works for stopping bots, it doesn't bother me one bit.

The new system is perfect. I tested it at both an old comp (where I am now typing on) and a laptop of 2 years old. Works fine. Maybe the ones who are complaining need to finetune their color system settings...

Ah, good old S60. I've had a 7650, 3650, 6630, 7610 AND an N-Gage but never ran Opera on any of them (how odd) I love the versatility of that platform though, but it annoys me something rotten trying to explain to people what S60 is, and how it pwns your average phone.. but then again, most just want to ring and text. :P

Cheers Wolf :P

i was at least one of the people that had trouble signing in on a windows smartphone. i also asked admin to fix it.

the problem i had wasn't seeing the code!

it was staying signed in after seeing the base page.

anyway, yes admin i can now log in and stay logged in, so thx for fixing that. and i don't need to email it to myself.

to be honest i can't see how the emailing it to myself would help. if i'm at work driving a bus and can see the code on my phone, why email it to myself? and then if i couldn't see the code on my phone how would i know it to email it to myself? if you needed a pc to see the code you wouldn't need to log on with the phone!

but as far as i'm concerned its fixed, it works fine on my phone
