Point of order...if said alliance was run by person who themselves was absent, how would applying members get screened to prevent abuse?

Basically...how do you guard the door when the guard is on vacation for "personal reasons"?

by their passing command onto some other person while away...

Still waiting for AB & Omega to get back to me. Then i will be asking for 1 noninee from each of the top 20 alliances to act as ref's ( to make sure all rules are abided by) Then there will be a vote for 5 to be chosen out of these.

I will put up a few I have, but i will leave it up to you to put some forward & then the 5 players voted in will make the final decision.

Its a nice idea but what about the people who abuse it from the inside, say they are away and farm in secret, all they would have to do would be bribe their particular CO and they could get away with it!

Also are the rules already in place or is the rest home still a dreamworld?

I don't like it! Already I see the potential for abuse (indeed it is being abused by someone as we speak). Enemies of some of the top 20 alliances are already being harbored in your alliance. There should be a thorough vetting process before ANYONE gets in your alliance (ie. have you ever knowingly supported the massing of a CoP member by giving resources to a known enemy of that alliance). But, I guess when you have a 100 million army size, you don't have to be worried about such petty concerns. Sorry to be a naysayer, but it is a BAD idea.

Agreed, if you're stepping out of the game, too bad, go on vacation mode. Heck, I stepped out and deleted then came back and started from scratch, it's actually kinda refreshing...in a way. Also, there is no way you can possibly protect these guys once it goes underway, unless you intend to fund back to back ppt's, I can plainly see two major threats to this utopia:

Idiots like Tok'ra who single handedly take on rank 1 alliances will no doubt have no qualms about using this alliance as a farm source and will probably focus on it.

Any chap with flexible enough morals to have a multi or support a multi could get that account to steal, raid, transfer and you'd be damn hard pressed to track him, or her..

An entire alliance of farm/raid targets... tasty...

yes & it will be peoples choice to take vacation mode, so nothing changes, as for Tok'ra, i think I know him well enough to know he would not hit this group, he knows players are in the Forces & sometimes can not get to there accounts. he has never been dishonorable as far as I know & attacking one of these accouts would be just that. there would no other account in this alliance (apart from mine & you can have a go at that at your own peril) that is not there for a very good reason.

the players in the alliance at the moment have nothing to do with the rest home it is todo with another Thread (Rank1 Alliance)( in 24 Hrs)

As far as Tok'ra being dishonorable, hell yes he is. His word means nothing as he will break it without a second thought. He promised not to mass any of our members ever again and thus avoided a massing he richly deserved. He then proceeded to mass two more of our members and thus began the Dirty Dozen's quest to make Tok'ra quit. He is a disgrace to all who wear the uniform of the United States of America.

And, as for harboring fugitives from justice, are you saying that we are free to hit our enemies even if they are currently in your alliance?

Please b4 posting Read your Pm's & read the whole thread & what it is about. There is one thread about Rest home & another about Rank 1 Aliance.

After going away & thinking & reading this message again, I have one word to say <whatever>, I have never given anything to anybody to mass Cop or any other Ally/ friend.

& for the bit about 100 mil army size & having not to worry about such petty things, well first my army size was 130mil + b4 the plague & i do worry more about my friends.
