Im writing a book on polotics and this is the first few pages of what I already have. its basically a rant about the world and I doubt it will ever be published, except as an internet opinion piece. Go ahead and disagree, I dont care and I dont want to hear about it. This is only my opinion, you dont have to agree with it.'
Listen… I shelve books for minimum wage day in and day out:
There are four genres the world DOES NOT NEED, we’re already awash in them.
Bodice Rippers,
Westerns,
Biographies,
And political ranting.
Get over yourself. Take some time to read the classic works.
I’d recommend you start with Thucydides, or perhaps Plato.
Once you’ve read about the thousands of innocents put to the sword daily during the Peloponnesian war perhaps you won’t be quite so outraged at our militaries courageous and honorable service.
Humans ignore it; pretend that global warming doesn’t exist, and bury themselves in the lies of politics. Pretend that world hunger and poverty are problems beyond our reach. That we can’t make a difference. I clearly am not satisfied by the attitude of the public. What is the public? Us. We are the mass of people who are currently poisoning the globe, each other, and ourselves. My goal is to end this anomaly of humanity, to destroy the world which we have created and become accustomed to. The world is changing, faster than ever. And we are changing it.
We don’t pretend. Some of us look at the science, and wonder why Gore isn’t campaigning against Cow Farts, and H20 vapor (95% of heat retention). The Science ISN”T there. Global warming ISN”T a fact. NASA admits, once you get past their front page, they don’t really have a clue’
They know that the models predicted by computers have not happened, They know we are not heating up as fast as the Global warmists predict, etc. etc. etc.
For the last time, Global warming is not a fact.
I would welcome a debate about it, but don’t gloss over the issue, it is still very much under debate.…
Major contributors to global warming, a growing problem which they are helping to conceal, are north americans. I once heard from a substitute teacher of mine that with one day’s military budget from the United States, we could feed the world for a year.
Naive.
Did you choose whether the country went to war in Iraq? How about Canadians such as me, did we choose to begin a war in Afghanistan?
So your not even an American?
But you are just dandy telling us how an extra couple of percentage points on our tax bill won’t bother us?
If any of you have ever watched “black hawk down” you’ll know that far less than 100 American soldiers died. Approximately 3000 Somalians died in that battle. How many of those three grand do you think were innocent people? You can’t fire at unarmed civilians!
How many of you have ever read the damn book? Perhaps you didn’t notice the warlord’s soldiers using pregnant women as shields? Or see them dragging our soldiers through the streets, with the ‘unarmed civilians’ swinging shoes?
I will forgive Clinton for disgracing himself with an Aide, I will never forgive him from pulling out of Somalia like a castrated Dog.
Strange though, the United States has only about 10 times our population, but they spent 581 times more on their military.
That’s because we happen to defend your northern behind, with OUR forces.
Anyways, I recently saw Al Gore’s movie (of his presentation) called “an inconvenient truth”. This movie moved me, and I don’t get moved easily by movies.
I don’t know if that’s true, but it very well could be.
Why don’t you do some research into that, global warming, and Somalia?
War is the product of greed. It has the power to change the way we think of the world. So why can’t we change it without prompting? We can, you just need to try. Make a good, un-lazy, un-procrastinating effort. Back on topic, war can be fixed by you. All you have to do is refuse to fight.
You are unbelievably Naïve. All it takes is one man, woman or child, and your pacifist system falls apart. Humanity isn’t that simple. Please, read your history, read the philosophers.
Boom, another topic with which I will speak freely and speak my mind to the people who so choose to read my book. Propaganda, in my mind, is the work of the devil. Or if you don’t believe in the devil, it is the most evil of evils ever created to destroy humankind. The government uses it to their advantage, to “help the world”, but the world would be helped if it were just extinguished.
Look at you…
Do you realize that that fits “An inconvientant Truth” to a tee?
But if everybody was treated the same, this would fix a huge amount of the worlds problems. A reasonable minimum wage in every country, for starters would be a huge improvement. The poor may get richer and the rich may get poorer, but there are more poor people than rich, which makes it a better decision than the decision we never made.
What on earth? So if India is awash with homeless, starving families, that is better than America where bill-gates get’s his limo washed by someone on minimum wage?
Equality does not equal prosperity. Don’t drag people down, bring them up.
As for that minimum wage crap… Learn some basic economy. If congress passes that new bill, to hike our minimum wage up to 7/hr, will I make more money? Yes. However, the local family run bookstore across the street will have to FIRE seven employees and shut their doors.
5/Hr is better than 0/hr yes?
By having a person like this we could end violence, we could end wars. Without violence, it is unlikely that more violence will be spawned. People learn from what they see. If they see no violence, they won’t be violent or aggressive.
Oh? Lets assume for a moment that all humanity has extinguished any sign of aggression. No violence, no way to imitate it.
Then, Jake, goes on a hike in the woods. Ever seen a squirrel get eaten by a snake? Or how about a snake getting minced by an owl?
This is where I combine “violence leading to more violence” and ‘human rights”. Do you think putting people in prison is really a good idea? After you contain someone in a small area for a large percent of their lifetime and then release them, it can be extremely damaging for them.
Yeah, I’m real sure the damage done to the murderer of Jessica Lungsford while he’s in jail will surpasses the damage he did to Her and her family.
And you can’t fight a war without using forces about equal to those used against you.
When you fight, you fight to win. If someone jumps me with a knife, and I have a pistol, no way in hell I’m going to get on my hands and knees to search for a similar weapon. I’m going to pull out the gun.
Besides. Would you like the USA to respond Al-quade in similar fashion? Would you like us to set up carbombs in Iran, kill civilians, wage war using ‘equal’ means?
Many people see pacifism as the perfect way to end pain and suffering, but I personally don’t believe it to be as effective as they wish. If everybody is a pacifist then it works, but in this day and age there are people who won’t work together for it, even fight against it.
Wth? You just argued for it.
Stop contradicting yourself please.
It is most irksome.
Have you ever been inside a mall? Of course, everybody has. It’s like stepping into a murder pit! You are instantly targeted as the next buyer of whatever it is that you don’t really want, and there is no way to stop it. This is one thing that I thought I’d add, even though I believe it’s impossible to stop without damaging our economy.
Awww. The poor ickle consumer… He can’t smoke pot, and he can’t make up his mind to spend the money HE earned slaving over that McyD’s grill.
Everybody’s opinion matters, so everybody’s opinion should be considered.
But not Osiris’ “negative” ones? I am sick of your hypocrisies man.
Then try to find a solution. Stereotyping is one of the worst possible things you could do.
Hypocrisy AGAIN.
It doesn’t get on my nerves because it stops me from watching my favorite TV shows for a few minutes
Again, learn economy; that Advertising is the Reason you favorite, electricity burning TV show is running.
Please, I'll gladly argue with reason. The above is emotionally driven..
However, it helps when the poster is logical and reasonable as well.
Honestly, Every single thing you've posted has been stated before.
Humanity has been dealing with these issues for two thousand years, and thousands of philosophers, ranters, pacifists, warmongers, and etc. have writ about it.
Read some of them, refine you idea so it doesn't just repeat the blunders they've made, and come back.

Eaten a hamburger (I figure that eliminating one more methane-making cow is a good way to offset my carbon footprint)... calmer now... edited post slightly.
